Great Value!

We enjoyed our 7-night stay at Caravan Serail. Although there are some minor inconveniences, overall, this is an amazing value for your money. We would stay here again on our next visit.
The Pros:
Friendly Staff - reception manned 24/7
Large Room w/King Bed
Great Location, quiet yet close to everything
Nice courtyard and rooftop
Amazing Breakfast Buffet
Same day laundry service
The Price!!
The Cons:
Small Bathroom
Maid service hit and miss - still adequate for us
Bed is very firm - not necessarily bad but just be aware

Great hotel with understated elegance and a real touch of luxury. On my recent trip to Uzbekistan, I stayed in several different affordable hotels and guest houses, Hotel Caravan Serail was by far the best one. The cost per night was a little higher than the other places that I stayed but boy what a difference a few extra euros made! The room was super clean and elegant. The bed is very comfortable. Everything was very well maintained. The staff too were excellent, there was a slight mixup with my room initially, but it was dealt with very quickly and professionally. I would highly recommend this hotel as a great option for an affordable place to stay and if I ever visit Samarkand again, I would definitely book this hotel without hesitation. I only stayed one night but wish I had been longer. Oh, the breakfast is pretty good too!

Functional room. Had a serious odor when we entered the room, maybe old cigarettes?
Bed is a slab...if your into the your set.
Bathroom is small, really small.
Good proximity to the sites, staff is friendly.
Good sized room.

Lovely little hotel with helpful staff. Very much enjoyed our stay. Nice breakfast. Would stay again.
