I love what they are doing here....

A local non-profit bought this place and a attached restaurant and is in the process of redeveloping the property. They are affiliated with the Creamery down the street and a smaller sister hotel downtown. They really know what they are doing even though its still being constructed, I feel it is going to be great.
That said, as you can see from the construction banner the restaurant was to be launched Spring 2026 and as of May 2026 I put construction at best at 60%. So, its not ready and the parking lot is dominated by construction vehicles during the day.
The hotel rooms are great. Large and built old school either poured concrete or cinder block. Saturday night the place was completely sold out and we didn't hear a thing.
Furniture, fixtures, bedding and housekeeping are first rate. everything is new and spotless. As for decoration each room is designed/themed by a local artist. See the web site for more...this was a great touch.
There is no front desk everything is managed remotely by Jen who was a pleasure to deal with on our early check in request.
I couldn't find much on this place on line so I took a bunch of pictures that are attached.
My only concern is when construction is finished and if the restaurant is full there will not be any parking. The guys who run the charity that own this place are urban planners so I am sure there is a plan ....it just wasn't apparent to me.
I went one star short of 5 because the place is not done yet. I hope to return.

Once again- super convenient and good stay. Apparently the restaurant has opened next door too… haven’t been there yet though.

It was immaculate and great location. I hadn’t realized it was contactless (so can’t rate staff). Good coffee in the room. The whole company is community-oriented and located right near the Creamery. Fun overnight in Kennett Square.

We are still getting used to completely contactless check-in but it worked smoothly at Artelo. We got our code when we paid for the room and again the day of our arrival, then another code for check out the evening before we left. The artwork in the room we chose was amazing, and we appreciated the Nespresso machine and small bottle of milk in the fridge to go with it. Construction on an attached restaurant looked like it was nearing completion and looks like it will be a nice addition, however, there are plenty of places within easy walking distance. We went to The Creamery and enjoyed live music, casual diverse multi-generational vibe, and great food/drink. Wish we had more time to spend in Kennet Square.

The place is new. It's a system of an old hotel refurbished to like-new. Hard to find something so new. Clean, nothing bad to say. We'll be back without any problem, and without looking for more options.
