Nice hotel, good location
Stayed here for a weekend trip to Munich, nice owner, very nice hotel. Its right by the main S-bahn line from the airport to Munich, also on the bus routes and the U3 underground and the Tram 20 to the city centre, so its dead easy to travel around. Nice single room, clean, tidy, warm with good heating. Exterior windows blinds you can lower at night to blot out the street lights. Typical German breakfast, no breakfast served on Mondays.. Happy to recommend for a short stay. Would have liked a microwave in the room to cook something in the evening. A Crewe supermarket 10 minutes walk away, a Aldi on the other side of the train station..WiFi was quite stable around 10-15 Meg, easy to log on to. My room was on the 3rd floor, no lift in the hotel. Gets my vote as a nice location for visiting Munich.

Staying at Hotel Moosbiscl
Review: Hotel Moosbiscl
We spent 2 nights at Hotel Moosbiscl because it is one of the 'cheaper' hotels in the vicinity of München, Germany. (Cheaper compared to other hotels closer to the city center). The hotel is over 100 years old, so there is no elevator. It has a lot of character and is super clean, with very comfortable beds. The owner is very sweet and made us feel very welcome. The shower is tiny and quite slippery, but we had enough hot water and the water pressure is great. There is a hair dryer and they provide towels.There is no air-conditioner and we had to leave the window open a bit, as it was quite warm. The street below is quite noisy, so if you're a light sleeper, this may be a problem. There is wifi, but no kettle, no coffee maker, no bottled water and no fridge. Breakfast, if required, needs to be ordered in advance, but there is also a cafe across the street at the bus station.The Moosach Bahnhof (station) with S-bahn, U-bahn and bus station is literally across the street - a 2 minute walk. Traveling to the airport, Hauptbahnhof (München main station), Hofbrauhaus and Marienplatz is very easy, as you just buy a ticket at the ticket machine at the station for €3.70. (It has different language options). We used the S-bahn to travel into the city. There is a large grocery store in Moosach, within walking distance from the hotel, but we did not feel comfortable walking around Moosach after dark. As I said, the hotel is over 100 years old.

Not your regular hotel
pros: clean room. comfortable bed. near train station.
cons: no one at desk after 6 pm. or 8 am in the morning. keys in lockbox. 1950s old decor, thin older towels and no replacements. tiny shower. no breakfast available for 4 days. creaky stairs. wish we had stayed at a different hotel. more like a hostel. several rooms had to share a public shower in the hallway.

Dreadful Hotel - best to avoid
The only positive thing that can be said about this hotel is it’s proximity to public transport. Beyond that it is dark, depressing, drab and very run down. The room decor/fixtures and fittings are very poor, shower head would not hold in fitting, hairdryer broke on day 2, reading lights on bed missing with live cables sticking out. The on-site parking advertised does not really exist, it is on street parking plus a couple of spaces in front of a garage round the corner. Staff not particularly friendly. Outdoor terraces dirty and overgrown. Didn’t bother booking breakfast due to general appearance of the place. Terrible hotel you would do best to avoid.

It's best to NOT stay at this hotel
Rude, rude, rude staff. The woman who was at reception when I arrived was VERY rude. She worked breakfast as well and was again one of the rudest people I've ever met. She kept trying to get me to pay again for breakfast even though I had papers/receipt from booking.com that I had prepaid it a few months earlier when I made the reservation. She verbally attacked me a second time about it at the breakfast despite the fact that I had proof of payment. Her attitude is not acceptable and is very unprofessional. I suggest avoiding this hotel.
