Last minute break

We are here now day 5 of 7, location is the best, everything is close by, bars restaurants, beach, old town & harbour
Apartments are large with separate bedroom & comfy beds, clean enough I suppose if you looked closely you could find faults!
Shower brilliant, large balcony & kitchen with enough appliances to cook toasties for breakfast,
Our room overlooks the front of the hotel, is still very quiet, no noise at night
No air con, can imagine it’s unbearable in the summer months
Only one mirror in the bathroom, need two to be able to get ready at night
All staff are friendly, pool & bar area are clean
We haven’t eaten at the hotel therefore unable to comment.
The biggest disappointment is the sunbed situation, there are signs not to reserve but every bed is reserved by 10.30!! With very few actually occupied
In fact I have noticed quite a few where they haven’t been used all day.
We have gone to the beach in stead, hired beds which cost 10 euros, then spent another 40-50 euros on food & drinks while there, I don’t mind but this money would have been spent at the hotel if I could get a bed !!
Apart from this we have enjoyed our stay here

We offer fans to keep the rooms cool, but we are always looking for ways to improve our facilities based on our guests' comfort.

Great location, Great Service, Great Food

Great location, between Playa Grande and the 'old town', easy transfer 15 minutes from the airport. (it is slightly up hill, and there are steps so be mindful of mobility) Rooms are lovely, have a modern look. Was warm at night though, so consider hiring in-room A/C. The hotel was clean and tidy throughout. Food was great from restauarant and snack bar, offering good variety. Staff were amazing!! All of the bar/service staff and housekeeping, absolute credit to the HG Hoteles group! We'll be back.

Lovely hotel

Lovely clean hotel, the cleaners do an amazing job. We stayed half board, there was limited choice of food, as most people stay self catering, but everything we ate was really nice. The burger I had on my last night was amazing. We did see a bit of sunbed wars going on, but we always managed get a sunbed and we didn’t wake till 8:30-9, apart from 1 morning we struggled, went for some breakfast and the staff had removed peoples towels so we were able to get one, overall we had a lovely stay and would recommend.

Highly recommend

This was our second time staying at hg lomo blanco this time we brought our daughter with us to explore puerto del carmen. Check in was fab, the apartment they gave us was excellent no issues we didnt have a fan at the start but that soon got sorted and put a fan in our room. Grounds kept clean and rooms where cleaned well. The pool area was always cleaned every morning. Sunbeds is just a general issue across all hotels but we always managed to get them when needed and we did notice lifeguards trying to help get beds for people in the afternoon which was good to see. My daughter loved the little green birds that came to visit our balcony. Our daughter needed to see a doctor while we was away and cannot fault the staff. There was a lovely lady on reception I didnt catch her name but she had a look and recommended which medical centre to go to and booked the taxi for us. The staff left our daughter a note and a few little things in the room for her which was a lovely touch and made her smile.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to any solo or family's great location too only 5 minute walk to the main strip. Got the thumbs up from our daughter and already wants to come back . Thanks again!

Great apartments, brilliant location.

Spent 10 nights at HG Lomo Blanco at the beginning of the summer holidays. Apartments are spacious and good storage facilities. Only downside to apartments is the ceiling fans just seemed to blow hot air around, but we were away there was no air con before we stayed so it wasn't a shock. The housekeeping staff work tirelessly and our apartments were cleaned 8 days out of the 10. In the apartment was a hairdryer, bodywash and shampoo and washing up liquid, sponge and tea towel.
Pool bar has a good menu but isn't the cheapest, but the food we ate there was nice. There is no problem with you taking your own food and drink round the pool.
My only negative was the amount of people who reserve sunbeds and then don't use them. Literally rows of 6 to 8 from some families who reserved them and then went out for the day, and didn't return until mid afternoon. The day we were leaving we left the apartment at 6:45am (still dark) and there were towels on sunbeds. We like to spend our day around the pool and had to be out with towels for no later than 8:30am, or we wouldn't get a sun bed. Reception did say when we checked in to tell lifeguards if we couldn't get a sun bed, but lifeguards are quite young and were hesitant in removing towels. I wake up pretty early so it's not the end of the world for us, but people who like to sleep in would struggle for sun beds in the height of summer.
All in all we had a lovely stay, and are returning next August for two weeks.

Regarding this, we are happy to share that we are constantly working on upgrades, and for your next visit next August, we will have options with full air conditioning available in our complex.
We will be delighted to help you secure one of these units for your two-week stay!
On the other hand, we sincerely apologize for the ongoing frustration with the sunbed reservations. It is incredibly unfair when families reserve beds and leave for the day. You are entirely right about our lifeguard team; being younger, they can sometimes be hesitant to enforce the rules.
Please rest assured that we are addressing this internally to give them the proper support and authority to remove towels consistently.
We are absolutely thrilled to know that you had a lovely stay despite this and that you are returning next August for two weeks!
