Cheap, well-located, and microscopic

The bad: that the room is absolutely microscopic, you literally had to play Tetris to be able to fit in. The bed is wedged between three walls.
The good: Price, very competitive for Oslo. Location, in the city center. The room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom, although also tiny, was clean and functional. The reception staff were very friendly and helped us with everything. Mind you, if you are going to stay more than two nights I do not recommend it because it gets very, very small; in case it is less, I absolutely recommend it.

Not what I expected in Oslo

A quick trip to Norway for a few days in May and I booked the Smarthotel in Oslo for a night. It was terrible. The room was expensive for what I got, the bed touched three walls and there was very little room to move. I will definitely avoid this chain of hotel.

Basic. The hotel looks a bit shabby. But our room was clean, yet no amenities were there except towels. We didn't have the breakfast there.

Good hotel in the center

The hotel is in a truly central and convenient location both for sightseeing and for travel to and from the airport. The room is very small and is fine for a short stay of one or two nights at most; I do not recommend it for longer periods. Check-in is quick and can be done independently by receiving an electronic key on your cell phone.

Tiny room, window facing a wall.

Tiny room, made of a narrow hallway of a few meters that leads to a window that looks out onto a gray wall. No view. The window does not open, except for a small gap at the bottom. To the side of the hallway there is a narrow "double" bed, but two people barely fit and it is wedged into a space that contains it precisely, so it is not possible to walk around it. The two guests must climb over each other if they want to pass. There are no closets, not even tiny ones. There are no drawers. There is a very small shelf and a small armchair that you will have to use to set everything down.
The bathroom is microscopic. The sink is also very small. It is difficult to put your hands under the water stream or to drink. Obviously, no bidet, but we are in Norway. The shower is carved out in the corner of the tiny bathroom, but there is no shelf to set anything on. The room was never cleaned in five nights of staying. Only once or twice were the towels changed and the trash can emptied. They explicitly state that they will only do this. When you arrive for check-in, they tell you that you can take this wonderful room at 3 in the afternoon. They will only give it to you early if you pay 15 euros, even if it is already ready. The lobby is not bad.
