Kinsale B & B

This was the most terrible place I have ever stayed. This place looks OK when you are looking online, however it is not all that good. There was 9 of of altogether and we had 3 rooms upstairs which were small but that was expected. The mattresses seemed to be about 50 years old and stained terribly. Our rooms were very cold and when we asked the host she said maybe tomorrow. The heat came on during the day but the night was very cold again.
Our host was not friendly with our group the whole 2 days we stayed.
There was only room for 4 cars to park and 2 would be blocked in.
I would NOT recommend this place nor would I ever stay there again.
It was about 10 minutes walk into town but the walk back was all up very steep hill.

Worst stay ever

I am not a troll and normally only leave reviews when I have good experiences. This was deplorable. There was no welcome from the polish hostess. Straight away, she told me that as I booked on booking.com, I was only entitled to a continental breakfast. The only positive was the accommodation was clean. The decor was horrendous and like something from the 1970s. The room was small. It was cold. The shower was weak and no soap, shower gel or shampoo provided. The white towels were old and now grey. The mattress was paper thin. I was standing in the garden talking to a friend and the hostess ran out like a madwoman saying I had only paid for a single room and I wasn’t bringing any woman into my room. She then shouted at me that I had got the floor in the bathroom wet while showering and she had to get down and dry it when cleaning. The breakfast was a disgrace. Cheap products including processed cheese slices individually wrapped. When I was leaving, I told her I would never be back. I thought it was a rubbish service and that she was rude and ignorant to my friend and I felt she had no manners. Her reply was that I was to get out, and she didn’t want me back as she is making loads of money. This is a disgraceful advertisement for Irish tourism. As an Irish person, I was embarrassed that visitors to this country could receive this treatment.

Avoid this place

We chose not to stay. EXTREMELY RUDE manager lady.
Happily moved a few doors down to Danabel B&B. Very sweet and welcoming owner lady. Recommend DANABEL B&B, Featherbed Lane, Kinsdale instead.

Cheap, cold, unwelcoming, woeful breakfast …

Checking in was strange. Was sharing with a friend who was arriving later. Woman who opened door said there was only one booked, but there were two of us. I said we’d paid for two. Backwards and forwards and eventually agreed.
Room was cold, only a sheet and a blanket on one bed and no duvet.
Shower was weak and hot water was difficult to get.
Came down for breakfast. Had a greed time of 9am, was down for 9.10 and told we had missed it. Pressed the point and angrily she let us sit down. Picture of the breakfast less toast - a scene from the 60’s.
Weird place, won’t be staying again. One thing, it was cheap…..

To be avoided

Strengths: location close to the village and cleanliness of the rooms average without going into detail.Bathrooms poorly maintained but clean. The main problems were : the not at all Irish owner welcomes guests in a very rude way almost annoyed by their presence and the poor and poor quality breakfast and with continental choice. It is also not recommended because in the area there are many others for the same price.
