Good accomodation at seedy end of town,
Breakfast in paper bag interesting. Good to have a carpark.

Room was not very clean, lots of dust and we found a lot of bugs in the room. We were on the ground floor so I guess that is to be expected but it seemed to be an awful lot (one cockroach). The breakfast area was closed so they had to-go bags (a muffin, a yogurt, and a juice box) which wasn’t what we were expecting. Other than that it was alright.

Run away as fast as possible

Unfortunately negative stars are not an option.
Booked two nights. Within the first hour, I called the front desk to cancel the second night. There are long term tenants being housed by the city due to homelessness. There is significant substance use in the parking lot. Sex workers are using the rooms, coming and going. I could actually deal with these things, everyone needs a place to stay. It is a rougher area of town with several shelters, treatment centers, etc. but it’s also near the university residence I was moving my daughter into for the weekend. Cost- wise, this hotel was mid priced on the booking agency. It also showed a 7/10 guest rating, which I’m questioning.
Then came the dealbreakers. The people in the room above mine were using cannabis, my room smelled so strongly of the drug it was intolerable, hotel staff advised there was nothing they could do in spite of staff also advising us the hotel is non smoking. One area of the room smelled of urine.
Was unfortunately unable to cancel either night due to time constraints with the booking agency and time they need to contact all parties.
On the second night, the bathroom floor was crawling with an assortment of about twelve bugs including one at least an inch and a half long.
I decided at that point to get out of there regardless of money lost. It was after midnight at that point. Thankfully the booking agency came through and I was able to get into another hotel for about 2am.
I would like to say that the rooms were as clean as possible given the obvious lack of investment into the building. Desk staff were also extremely polite and I recognize their hands are tied.
Next time, I would definitely stay farther from the city center and avoid this experience. I’m treating all my belongings for bugs before they come in the house.

I am embarrassed to have picked this hotel. Absolutely no curb appeal… about as ugly as any place we’ve stayed. The most recent reviews mentioned roaches and I did see one which put me on edge the entire time. Choose another spot to stay.

Excellent & comfy 3-nite stay. Helpful staff. Cool room. The only issue was the TV signal no continuity.
