Great Hostel!

This hostel was amazing! The location is great as it’s right on the esplanade so you’re close to everything you need and you can walk out the front door and be at the lagoon. The facilities were definitely the cleanest of all the hostels I’ve seen in Cairns.It seems the staff really keep on top of this all throughout the day. It’s quiet but a really nice family feel where you get to know everyone and a few events throughout the week where you can get free food and socialise. I really liked how the kitchen here is open all the time as this is rare for hostels, which means you have a place always where you can chill and cook / watch tv. This is great if you’re long term or working and coming back at different times of the day.

Amazing stay!

The hostel is great, including the location! It is close to the Esplanade in Cairns, the grocery stores and some clubs are only a few minutes away! People in the hostel are friendly, and there are a lot of long-term stays, who are very welcoming. Also the dorms and common areas were comfortable, quiet and kept clean. People at the reception were very friendly and helpful. The hostel is very affordable and would definitely stay here again!

Great hostel

I really really liked the hostel!! Out of all the mad monkey hostels I stayed in before this one was one of the most comfortable, affordable and quietest hostels ever. But the most important about it and why I gave 5 stars are the people! The people there are all so friendly and nice for example, Aurélie/ Francisco / Joel or Sofia!!! I love them all and will definitely come back! much love to the hostel !!!

Best hostel in Cairns

Mad Monkey Waterfront has the best location in Cairns. You are right on the Esplanade. The common area is flooded with light, and the hostel gives you a family-like feeling. Every day, the crew team ensures that the bathroom is clean. Clear recommendation from me :)

Chill hostel with the perfect location

All in all a super chill hostel which is very clean and comfortable. The Location at the esplanade and the friendly atmosphere is a great reason why to stay here.
