We'd stay here again

We had a lovely one night stay here on a trip to Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The room was large and spacious with 2 double beds, a fridge, desk and chairs. The bed and pillows were comfy. The shower was nice and hot.
Staff at reception were very friendly and welcoming.
The pool was cleaning and refreshing.
The free breakfast had enough options for us to chose from - eggs, muffins, bacon, yogurts, cereal, waffles, apples.

Had confirmed reservation, but they had no rooms

I had a confirmed reservation that I booked on Hampton’s web site, but when I arrived at 9:30 pm after a day of traveling the front desk clerk told me they had no rooms and I needed to find lodging elsewhere. I asked if she could help find a room at another Hilton-brand hotel, and she told me no, I was on my own (plus, she told me nearly everywhere else was already sold out, adding insult to injury). She said she would cancel my reservation, but when I asked for written confirmation that my credit card would not be charged for the cancellation, she also said she could not provide that, and the only thing I could do was contact the general manager, who, by the way, wouldn’t be in for another two days.

Awful

This hotel is dirty, filthy and awful. Don’t stay here. We had two rooms the first one had dirty sheets and the second it not much better.

Not a good experience

This was a real disappointment. As a Hilton Honors member, I expected better. Entering the hotel, we were confronted by a gaping, leaking hole in the ceiling. There also didn’t seem to be any air conditioning in the lobby, hallways or other common areas. The desk person was very nice while apologizing for not having the usual bottles of water.
Because I am handicapped and have trouble walking, we asked for a room close to the elevator. She accommodated our request. The room had no towels or hand soap and felt clammy. This, we discovered, was due to a cooling system that was leaking onto the floor.
In the morning, the breakfast room walls were covered in unpainted drywall repair.
My overall feeling is that this Hampton was really understaffed. The employees were friendly but this place is poorly managed.

We walked in to a hole in the ceiling with a bucket catching leaking water (RIGHT INSIDE THE ENTRANCE. We had to walk around it) & as we checked in we were told they were “running up to make sure the room was all good.” It was very obvious they were doing a change of bedding and quick clean up of the room so we could get in. There was food all over the carpet, hair all over the room & especially the bathroom. It was gross. Could still see drink ring marks still wet!)on the dresser & nightstand.
