so you start by walking into a nicer lobby, which is masked with 4 to 5 air sent devices to hide and cover all of the mold. Once you get on the lobby, the main common hallways, and the rooms smell very strong, intense mold. We stayed there in early August when it was extremely hot and humid and you walk into your room and they have zero air circulation going in the rooms which of course led to a very potent mold odor again. Sheets were damn like wet, not fully dried or from lack of air circulation. When we first arrived at the hotel and tried to check in the overnight, staff tried to say they did not have my hotel.com booking and made me pay for the room on site even though the registration was already paid for through hotels.com. That will be my one positive feedback to the hotel is Harry was able to help me get a refund on this.
Needless to say, there’s plenty of other options in the area and I would avoid the quality Inn at magee especially if you have kids or family

Staff was friendly and helpful. However, there is no elevator and I was on the second floor. Also, the bathroom is in need of some serious maintenance. There appeared to be black mold on the wall And the grout around the tub had mildew.

My issue was that the bedding hadn't been washed or changed since someone else used the room.

A Horrible Disappointment
My stay at this motel was a horrible disappointment from start to finish. The bedding was clearly not clean, and the carpet was dirty and even wet in several areas. The bathroom was no better—the outlet didn’t work, and the shower was moldy, which is completely unacceptable.
What made everything worse was the attitude of the staff. They were completely unbothered by the issues, offering no help, no apology, and no solution.
This place desperately needs proper cleaning, maintenance, and customer service training. I would never stay here again and strongly recommend avoiding it.

Check in was slow, but the desk clerk was nice. The room smelled like a combination of musty socks and curry. No amount to Febreeze was helpful. The carpet felt sticky in front of the air conditioner. Sit gingerly on the toilet. Very loose. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The pool was nice after a long, hot day. If I stay here again I'd request a different room.
