Highly recommend
The view from the oceanfront penthouse was breathtaking. A deck with a gorgeous panoramic view of the mountains and Homer Spit. The location was perfect right down the street from Homer Spit and to local amazing restaurants. The atmosphere was so welcoming and made you feel at home.

Absolutely perfect in every way! Truly magical place to stay!
If I could give The Lighthouse in Homer, Alaska more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. This place deserves all the stars in the night sky! That’s how much we LOVED it here!
From the moment we arrived, we knew this place was something truly special. The Lighthouse is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. Nestled above the breathtaking waters of Kachemak Bay, the views are absolutely spectacular, the accommodations are immaculate, and every thoughtful detail makes you feel right at home. It’s peaceful, cozy, and the perfect place to experience the beauty of Alaska.
What made our stay truly unforgettable, however, was Liz.
Liz is one of the most amazing women we have ever had the privilege of meeting. Her warmth, kindness, generosity, and genuine heart are unlike anything we’ve experienced in our travels. She welcomed us like family from the moment we arrived, and by the time we left, it felt like we were saying goodbye to a dear friend.
Traveling all the way from Florida, truly believe our paths crossed for a reason. Meeting Liz was one of the greatest blessings of our entire trip. People like her remind you that the world is filled with goodness, compassion, and genuine love.
The peaceful surroundings, incredible hospitality, and unforgettable memories made this one of the best trips we’ve ever taken together.
If you’re looking for the perfect place to stay in Homer, look no further. The Lighthouse is more than a place to sleep—it’s a place that leaves a lasting impression on your heart. We cannot recommend it highly enough.

Perfection inside and out, hot tub, pet friendly, friendly owners, and incredible views!
The Lighthouse was a dream! We (2 adults and 2 teens plus a small dog) stayed there 4 nights and 5 days in the 2 King Suite. The views from the property over the Kachemak Bay are incredible, the community deck is huge with a perfect hot tub and a fully stocked beverage and s’mores fridge that we gladly enjoyed each night. Several grills too if someone wanted to cook outside. The two king beds were very comfortable and the bathroom had nice tiling and looked brand new. Care is truly taken to every detail. The coffee machine had all the coffee pods, creamers in the fridge, and sugar on hand plus some other snacks. Unlimited towels, toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags. They thought if everything and were very generous. I also enjoyed the information about the history of the property and the family connection to Jewel the singer (who I actually saw perform at a bar before anyone out east knew her name around 1997 in Washington DC when she left Alaska, so that was a cool connection). And finally the decor inside and out completed the whole classy nature farmhouse style. We felt really spoiled having The Lighthouse to return to each evening after our days excursions and spent many hours in the hot tub. Thank you!

The Best Place We've Ever Stayed! 10/10
I cannot express just how amazing this place is and we already wish I'd been able to stay for a full week minimum instead of just 2 days!
From the time of our arrival and checking in to the day we left, we were in awe of this place...the attention to detail for decorating even the outside pathway, the inside of our room was stunning, the bathroom floors are heated, and the shower's water pressure and temperature were so good!
We have allergies and multiple chemical sensitivities and let them know ahead of time and they went above & beyond to air out the room and remove air fresheners for us, which was greatly appreciated.
They also have some candies upon arrival in a cute little candy box, a coffee maker and coffee pods, drinks in the fridge, and a large TV if the weather was bad and we wanted to watch. Fortunately for us the weather was amazing and we never turned on the TV at all, and instead utilized the viewing deck overlooking the water, and porch sitting area right outside.
This place will be on our yearly Alaska trip spots to stay now without fail, and we're looking at booking it for future family reunions now because it is spectator.
The bedding and beds are comfy. The sound machine was a nice touch, and the heater in room was great also.
I already miss it and so does my whole family.
Thank you to the wonderful hosts for letting us book and stay there, we can't wait to come back & we just left! 10/10

Mountain scenic view with luxury stay.
We enjoyed the stunning views from our balcony. The room was very clean and tastefully decorated. The grounds offered sitting decks, hot tub and outdoor kitchen, although we did not use them. Our room came with a kitchenette which was perfect. We were thrilled with the place! In addition, it was located just a few minutes ride to eateries and entertainment. Definitely a place we would stay again!
