Patterson Inn was the best choice I could have made for my recent trip to Denver. The staff were attentive, kind, and made my stay so comfortable and enjoyable. Chris and his staff are so warm and welcoming, felt as if I was staying with friends. The room was comfortable, clean, and beautifully maintained. Delicious homemade breakfast each morning, with a choice of sweet or savory options really was a highlight. The property is gorgeous, a history buff's dream stay. As a solo traveler, would I highly recommend a stay at the Patterson, neighborhood is quiet, safe, and easy to get to all major attractions and highways. Thank you to the Patterson Inn for making my trip so comfortable. If I'm ever back in Denver, I'll be popping by to say hello and drink at the tavern. :) -Kris from NJ

Stayed here for three nights solo when visiting for a show at Red Rocks. Received several emails prior with all necessary information to prepare for stay. Do take note that there is an elevator to the rooms on 2nd floor, if you choose a room on the 3rd floor there are winding stairs from floor 2 to 3 . Such an incredibly beautiful building. Spacious, clean, well appointed rooms, super comfy bed and linens and incredible breakfast . The room and bathroom were a very generous size. The staff was wonderful, friendly and helpful from helping me up the stairs with my luggage to serving the delicious breakfast . Chris the owner was charismatic, funny and a pleasure to chat with. He made me feel like I was a guest at a friend’s mansion. Thoroughly loved sitting outside on the patio sipping coffee and reading. My only regret was that I slept in the first two mornings and didn’t make it for breakfast, luckily enjoyed on my last day and was delish. I would definitely suggest getting out of bed for breakfast, so worth it . Highly recommend a stay here

Perfect stay in Denver

Beautiful historic mansion bed and breakfast. We were there three nights and throughly enjoyed our stay. Chris the owner was delightful and witty. Breakfast each morning was excellent with a choice of a sweet or savory meal. The 12 Spirits bar is located in the carriage house and was a cosy refuge with excellent drinks. We elected one evening to have food delivered and chill with good cocktails in the bar. Rooms in the Inn were large and spacious. Location in Capital Hill was perfect. Would not hesitate to stay here again! Mike and Robin

Historic Treasure

We recently stayed at the Patterson Inn and loved it. The historic charm is evident everywhere, and the room was clean as a whistle.
Breakfast was a highlight — a great spread of both savory and sweet options, plus genuinely good coffee.
A huge highlight was owner Chris, whose storytelling made the whole experience feel personal. Hearing the history of the inn and the neighborhood from someone so clearly passionate about it added a layer you just don't get at a chain hotel.
Bonus: there's a bar next door with award-winning cocktails, perfect for an evening nightcap without having to go far. The whole neighborhood is vibrant and walkable, with plenty to explore on foot, and parking was easy — a small detail that made a big difference.
Whether you're visiting from out of town or just looking for a staycation close to home (which is what we did!), the Patterson Inn is a wonderful choice. Highly recommend.

Great stay in Denver. The staff”s attention to detail was exceptional. The king bed was very comfortable and breakfast was cooked to perfection. The onsite bar was a nice place to hang with the neighborhood crowd. Overall an excellent B&B
