Good Stay, Great Price
Stayed at this place for a couple of nights. I was somewhat hesitant to book based on reviews, but it turned out to be just fine. The young man working the front desk was very friendly and helpful. I needed an iron and ironing board to get clothes ready for a funeral but they had none on property. He secured them from somewhere else and had them delivered - great customer service!
Room was clean, great tv channel selection. Good wifi; beds comfortable; larger than usual mini-fridge, microwave. There was no in-room coffee maker or hair dryer, though.
This place has both smoking and non-smoking rooms, so be careful which type you book online.
The only downside was the breakfast was pretty much non-existent. Both days there was one dry muffin, a few slices of white bread, and dry cereal - that's it. Fortunately there are plenty of breakfast options nearby at restaurants and fast food chains.
A lot of hotels in this price range put big blocks on your credit card for 'security deposit' and garbage like that, but not this place. Only room charges were charged.
If you're looking for a decent stay in Columbus at a bargain value price, Econo Inn fits the bill.

avoid lodging inspecter needs to go thru these hotels
went to evono in after checking into super 8 room that was disgusting hoping econo inn would be better NOPE checked in to one room at econo stains on sheets then noticed critter poop in ac unit asked to be mived to another room which they did after moving 2nd room had celing falling down in bathroom big hole in vanity and huge stains on sheets thried to sleep with clothes on cause did not feel comfortable with room. finally just decided to go out to vechicle to sleep. in vevhicle now and feel like im getting eaten by something just feels gross. lidging inspector needs to go thru these hotels

Fire Hazards, Exploding Microwaves & Cold Breakfast Oh My
So a team of 8 of us in town for the Eagles State pool tournament rented 4 rooms. Of the 4 rooms, here were the problems we experienced, many of which were safety issues:
- one room had no heat on a 13° night and no working smoke detector
- in one room (113) the smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling without a battery. In the same.room, the microwave caught on fire while heating food (no metal was in the microwave)
- in our room, the smoke detector was non-working
- in the 4th room, only the air conditioner worked and again, the smoke detector was non-working.
Above and beyond the safety issues, the "hot" portion of the continental breakfast was ice cold, the hotel reeked of "air freshener", and the non-smoking rooms reeked of smoke.
When 1500 people come to town and spend their $$$$$, this is completely unacceptable.

Not again
Room was in need of maintenance in several areas. Heating unit vent was broken, towel bar by sink was falling off the fall, carpet torn, walls need paint touchup, no shampoo or conditioner, no wash clothes, sink drained very slow / must be clogged and front desk was not attended most of the time. I was told I couldn't get a receipt because I made the reservation online and prepaid with credit card. The breakfast had half the items not set out or were empty, no one attending, we went to McDonalds.

Typical cheap hotel. Not much to complain about
I love the reviews of this place that complain about stained carpet or worn furniture. It's a cheap hotel. You get what you pay for. The towels and sheets are clean. The bed is comfortable. The wifi works. There's breakfast included. It is a little overpriced. It should be around $50 a night for a single room. We paid a little over $70. I have a feeling they will negotiate. The place is run by foreigners and reeks of something coming from their room in back. Incense or something. One problem I think they should address is our room was missing the inside lock bar that all hotels have. There was a deadbolt but they should get the lock bar replaced.
