Very clean room..staff was very friendly and check in and out was quick and easy..breakfast was an added plus..highly recommend this hotel..location is fantastic,beach is only a few steps away.. fantastic stay

The room we stayed in wasn’t really bad however the cops were called because the desk clerk got mad at a customer that told him about blood stains on one of the beds. I would be very upset if blood was on the bed I was sleeping in. The cop that came said he would of went off about it too. The ice machine had no ice in it. Also, the price of one night is ridiculous, I could understand if it were Virginia Beach but come on almost $300 a night for the Bay Area. It’s beautiful in Colonial Beach but they really need to lower those prices. The motel needs some upgrades and some work done to the leaking ceilings but it’s was not awful.

A lot of issues with flies and gnats. We kept our door closed. Not sure how they were getting in.

The lobby had an overpowering scented air freshners. The clerk was difficult to understand. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. No blanket. One of the fire detectors on the second floor was broken with just a wire hanging from the ceiling. There was mold on the air vents in the upstair hallway. We did not eat breakfast. The coffee was terrible.

This is an older hotel, but in very good condition, clean and well maintained. It is right next to the beach and the walkway along Colonial beach. There are several restaurants within easy walking distance. We made very good use of the large swimming pool. This in an excellent place for a family, or a couple. Much easier to get to, less crowded, and a lot less expensive than larger, more well-known beaches. It is also very close to Westmoreland State Park. Easy parking and good air conditioning.
