I will be back!

A good hostel at an affordable price.
Comfortable beds. Well-equipped kitchen. The rooms could be a bit larger, but the large common area makes up for it.
The staff was very helpful, especially Nico, the Event Manager. And I was kind of an "annoying customer." I'm a street musician and had my very large music equipment with me, but the staff helped me store it in a safe place where I could access it whenever I needed it.

BEDBUGS

Well, it was horrible. On 09.08.2026 i checked in, and for several days it was good enough, no problems. But then on the morning of 14.08.2026 i found a bed bug on my bed (it was girl's room of Westwood).
I went straight to reception and showed them a photo of the bedbug, explaining everything. The guy who was on duty in the morning genuinely tried to help us. He had our clothes washed and assigned us to different rooms, but said we could only check in later that evening. My roommates and I left our belongings there and went out for the day.
I came back quite late, around 9 PM, and by then a different guy was at reception. With a completely stone-faced expression, he told me that I was being moved to another room for two nights while our old room (where the bedbug was found) was being treated, and that we would be moved back afterward. No compensation was offered or mentioned. I argued with him a bit, but decided to let it go and instead asked whether I could speak to the manager the next day. His answer was vague, but I let it go for the time being.
Our clothes had been sent to be washed, and when I came back that evening, this same guy first pretended my clothes weren't ready yet. I went up to my room, and on the same floor there's a shared kitchen (each floor in the hostel has one). I went to the shared kitchen, found a volunteer there, and only after she went and asked him where my clothes were, did he suddenly "find" them — already washed, folded, and ready. He hadn't even offered to give them to me before that.
The next day, at 11 AM, I woke up and saw a nymph bedbug directly on my pillow. I immediately filmed and photographed it, quickly got dressed, and ran back to reception. On the way, I ran into another girl who had also originally been in the infested room, and she told me bedbugs had now been found on the mattress in her new room too, plus she had bite marks on her body. We went down to reception together.
We waited about an hour and a half for the receptionist (the same guy who had withheld my laundry the evening before) to actually contact the manager. At first he just gave us the manager's email, which the manager never replied to. Eventually, around 12 PM (after I had complained at around 10 AM), he called the manager and put him on speakerphone from his own phone.
The manager tried to convince me and the other girl to stay in these rooms for two more nights, claiming that on Saturday at noon the banks weren't working. Banks in Prague are more than capable of processing a refund at noon on a Saturday. Instead of doing that, he first tried to talk us into staying until Monday. When I pushed back, he refunded both of us in cash for the unstayed nights — which was extremely inconvenient and not something I wanted, but I accepted it since I understood there might be no other option.
I have since submitted a complaint through Booking.com and am currently waiting for a response to my appeal. When receiving the cash refund, I also asked to be reimbursed for the nights I had to book at another hotel, since because of them I had to spend extra money that clearly went over my budget. He refused, saying it "wasn't included" since I had stayed at the property. I'm still pursuing this through Booking.com.
After that, he started rushing me to pack. While I was upstairs collecting my things, I saw yet another bedbug — this was around 1:30 PM. This is genuinely alarming, because it suggests the infestation had grown large enough that bedbugs were now active even during the day. He kept pressuring me to pack faster; I asked for one hour, he said okay and left.
When I came back downstairs, nothing had changed and I didn't expect anything to. The overall impression was that both I and the other girl were being treated as if we were somehow at fault — as if we were to blame for the hostel having a bedbug infestation and for wanting our money back.

You're gonna lie down, not sleep

The location is true q each select the place. When they arrived they were slow to open the door, the link for online check in was invalid, I had to register at the hostel. The hostel was in the works, I changed the room from 6 beds to 8 beds, as the 6 beds had no privacy, the beds had no curtains. The cost was lower, they told me they were going to pay me back the difference and they didn't pay me back. The bunk bed where I was sleeping had the broken step, it was difficult to climb and they were very uncomfortable tubes, I had a plate on my elbow and 7 screws and I had a hard time climbing, people towards a lot of noise, my locker was busy and I had to store my things in another room... people very safe, all the shoes on the floor, the room hello on foot, very hot. Very friendly staff, yes, but noise 24/7, people gather in the kitchen to talk, instead of going to the hall.

Terrible place

The hostel’s check-in information on Booking.com was misleading. It was stated that check-in would be available from 3 PM, but when I arrived, I was faced with a sign saying it would only open at 7 PM. I ended up losing $30 without receiving any service, and Booking customer support did not resolve my issue. This was a terrible experience, and I do not recommend this place to anyone

do not stay here

I would not stay here again. this hostel seems to attract really dodgy people. there was a condom in the shower stall for 4 days, and black mould in the bathroom as well. the toilet also ran out of toilet paper for a good 24 hours and was replaced with hand towel. the rooms were not cleaned properly, very very dusty and there was no air ventilation so in summer it is impossible to sleep. as well as the mattresses were flat and uncomfortable. the staff are nice-ish, the place smells very strongly of weed 24/7 inside. the area doesn’t feel safe for a female. one of the toilets has no seat. the power sockets on my bed didn’t work and would overheat my charger and was buzzing the whole time. the kitchen was okay. i mean there are worse places to stay but i didn’t feel comfortable here.
