Disappointment in the choice of the hotel and happy to return to Santiago.
The Icon hotel did not meet our expectations. While we were waiting for the apartment (we arrived half an hour before check-in time) and we were not allowed in. We left the bags at the reception and went to the restaurant that they already started mistaking my plate. We asked to add the beds and soap to the bathroom at the beginning of the stay and we were not treated. Lack of lighting in the room. The awful night to make up. Lack of body mirror all tb. The breakfast leaves much to be desired (little variety, always the same thing and we do not find quality). On the last day several items were missing. The internet is awful. The pool is tiny. The only strength is the view to the mountains. The staff are generally friendly, but I would never stay in this hotel again.

DO NOT BOOK! SAVE YOUR MONEY, TIME, HEALTH AND NERVES!
The WORST place I've ever had to stay at, hands down. It's a scam. There's no staff at the reception, you have to talk to the camera first and then someone will come in through the front door, they're not even in the same building. The person who checked us in could barely speak English and was not helpful a tiny bit when we asked him for some help around town as he didn't speak Korean at all (he works in KOREA!) The rooms are ridiculously tiny, the size of a prison cell. We asked for a queen bed but got 2 separate beds next to each other (see photo). The beds were rock hard, the sheets were old and had stains on them. The AC remote has no English on it and even with an instruction sheet it is impossible to use. But the WORST part was the bathroom. There is NO shower or bath. The shower head hangs over the sink and when you have to use it, the water splashes all over the sink and toilet which is right next to it - it's ridiculous! The drain is on the floor under the sink, it gets flooded in no time. If this is not enough for you - there's mold everywhere on the bathroom walls. Originally, we booked 3 nights but had to leave the next day as soon as we could. When we told them about the mold, they said they could "clean it for us". Despite of our complaints, we were charged a cancellation fee of 1 extra night for checking out early - so in total we had to pay USD $100 for the worst stay of our lives! We found a hotel right around the corner ("Ibis") that was only $20/night more but offered everything a nice hotel does. It was like day & night! We were so happy there! This place is a joke. DO NOT waste your time and money and don't let it ruin your 1st impression of Seoul/Korea, like it did in our case :(

Pretty bad
Read all the reviews very, very carefully, as this hotel still has a TA "Traveler's Choice" and can't understand why.
Basically a location of hostel-quality-at best-claiming to be a hotel. So many things wrong: sheets had hairs from previous occupant; bathroom is an all in one-shower, sink, toilet in one small room, with plastic accordion door so water gets everywhere(world's scariest looking shower sandals are provided and they appear to be decades old); room was dingy and very worn; and you can hear everything-and I mean everything-going on next door or in the hall or downstairs-absolutely no sound insulation.
Check in would have been humorous if not for the 13+ hour flight; got to hotel late at night to find nobody there. Eventually a young man showed up, and he informed me he spoke no English so had to place a phone call to be able to understand me. Took forever in the small hours of the night, then got to room and heard everything so got no sleep at all. And "shade" for window was less than worthless; my room had a street light next to it, and even with shade down, room was fully illuminated.
It's really inexpensive for a reason, and may be ok for a hostel, but it's not really a hotel. Pay a bit more and get something decent. But in general, you'd do well to stay away.
And I'm at a total loss-this place still has a TA "Traveler's Choice". Cannot understand that at all.

This place is garbage - SCAM!!!
Where to start - they only take cash, won't accept CC. Heard from 3 guests that they cancel your booking, to avoid the fees from booking sites.
Rooms - Tiny, dirty and look like the pictures, but 5 years and zero cleaning later.
Hotel - Dated, garbage on terrace/lobby/hallways.
Reception - Absolutely non existent. You press a button and someone answers you, but you can't really hear them and they can't really hear you. Maybe 5-10 minutes later, a "staff" member wanders in.
Breakfast - Ha!

Not a hotel! Needs immediate shutdown.
TL;DR: Avoid.
1) The "hotel" does not have 24/7 reception folk (on-call only)
2) Hotel shows a sign (when arriving) that foreign credit cards are not accepted. We had to search for an hour to find a "nearby" ATM that would.
3) Hotel room had significant mold around the A/C. To the staff's "defense" it seems they didn't understand the concept of mold.
4) Bedsheets had stains of red and some other colors. We didn't investigate further.
5) When requesting another room, the receptionist checked with a girl in the reception first "Do you have anyone tonight?" and as that was a no, we got a new room. Didn't ask more about that.
6) Our new room was in another building. While not as dirty, it still had a lot of cleaning potential. And the toilet was clogged. Not submitting photos of that.
7) No one was looking after the breakfast "diner". It was totally dirty and there were lots of used towels at the floor behind the counters (=?). Did not eat the egg and white bread so I couldn't tell you about the results of doing so.
8) Lots of stuff in emergency evacuation routes. Luckily it didn't burn that night.
9) AFTER having checked out in cash (after 1 night obviously), it seems the hotel has tried to charge my former credit card anyway (see image). Why they would want to try that is beyond me, as they already were paid in cash.
At least the person in the counter was not arguing, but it cannot help the critical state of this establishment.
Conclusion: Avoid if you are a respectable person. If you are taking your lover (which you shouldn't), you're getting what you deserve.
