Good stay

Don’t know why this has such a low rating. Went with a friend and split the cost, so incredible value. Only stayed a night, but it was right in the centre of Wick, next to the pubs and pharmacy. Beds were pretty comfy and had a tv which was a pleasant surprise. About as good as a budget hotel can get!

Probably the worst one I have stayed in. No receptionist, no food - just a room in an un-manned builsing.

I was booked in for several nights on a work trip. When I got to the `hotel` - (more like a hostel), it seemed derelict. The reception was dark, with no lights on and not a soul to be seen. Another guest was there and said, "Is this place actually open?"
Anyway, after a long-winded phone call to a female who seemed put out by my calling her and a twenty minute wait, somebody turned up and was in a big rush. He showed me to a room, told me to leave the key in a little basket on the landing when I leave, and off he went.
There was absolutely no privacy from the windows which faced onto the High Street, so I kept the curtains shut. My windows were directly above an Indian takeaway, and the room stank of that takeaway. I couldn't get in the shower door because it wouldn`t open far enough. The toilet seat was a small oval one on a square toilet, so it didn't fit properly. The quilts on the beds are for a child's bed.
I stayed there that night on a very uncomfortable bed and didn't sleep at all.
I actually felt very unsafe staying there, and that's a first for me.
The next day after work, I popped down to Argos, got myself a tent, etc and booked into the Riverside Campground down the road. It was night and day different.

Cheap and cheerful

Nice cheap and cheerful room down an alleyway off the town centre. Comfy beds and everything worked well. Fine for a couple of nights.

Diabolical avoid it like a hangover

Place is disgusting attached to a Indian takeaway and all you hear is constant shouting and banging never a 4 star AVE been in doing a Weekender in the police station with better facilities.
Free parking it's away down at the harbour never again bathroom window no frosted glass anybody can look in and the wind howling when they're closed badly fitted
Total dog house.

Great stay truly recommend

My short stay at Caithness Inn was very nice. I was welcomed by the host in a friendly manner. The hotel was very tidy and clean. It was newly renovated. The bedrooms were good sized and beds were comfortable and the room was cozy. Shower was very relaxing. I will definitely visit again when in wick.
