A Perfect Countryside Escape

We had a fantastic stay at King's Cottage! Two days of sunshine, relaxation and beautiful surroundings made it the perfect getaway.
The cottage has everything you need for a peaceful break, including a unique log-fired hot tub which was a real highlight.
We enjoyed lunch at Basil Sheils Bar & Restaurant and loved it so much that we returned for dinner that evening. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and welcoming and the whole place has a lovely atmosphere.
We also enjoyed exploring the scenic grounds and nearby walks with our dog, Toby. We would highly recommend King's Cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing countryside escape and will definitely be back!

Great place!

Beautiful quaint room with a traditional old time feel, and a super comfortable bed.
The restaurant and pub have a friendly, welcoming community atmosphere with excellent live music… it was pure buzzing!!! We’ve had an excellent weekend thanks to the lovely accommodating staff!

Clean, comfortable and convenient just what we were after

The rooms were just what we were after. Very clean, comfortable beds and close to Keady for everything we needed. Breakfast at the tea rooms was spot on and the coffee definitely the best we’ve had the whole trip. Would definitely book again on a return trip. Thank you.

Family Birthday Treat

Beautiful Country pub / Restaurant in Idylic surroundings. Food is plentiful & appetising. Friendly atmosphere.
SOME rooms need a really good clean though The room we were allocated was freezing cold. Windows were dirty and covered in cobwebs. The shower wasn’t working and no hot water. But there was a second shower if it wasn’t already being used by one of the other guests in the other 4 Bedrooms Also only one Toilet. The Radiator in our room was fixed on the second day. We would definitely stay again but in a different room.

Wedding day

We had our wedding here on the 30th of August , and we can not thank the staff here enough, they are the most amazing team of professional people and absolutely nothing was too much trouble for them, from the first meeting with our wedding venue planner Debbie the event was perfection. The venue itself is stunning , set in the beautiful Armagh countryside, its quirky, quaint and just gorgeous. The accomadation is beautiful , but it's the staff who make it perfection. The Chef could not have done more to make our day special and the number of guests who have told us how amazing the food was is incredible. Every single aspect of our meal was fabulous . Every single need was met with wonderful friendly cheerful smiles .
We really have to thank Shaunagh who went above and way beyond to ensure we felt special and every single thing we asked for was done with such good grace, we truly had not one thing to even think about other than to enjoy and appreciate our day.
We had a humanist ceremony in the beer garden which was transformed into a fairytale garden with flowers supplied by Michael Oneill , again stunning.
The only sad aspect of this is that we can not stand on a beautiful sunny day , in this truly amazing setting and do it all again .
Thank you so much to each and every member of staff, this is a perfect venue for a wedding , if you want a wonderful , stress free fabulous day then we definitely recommend here .
