Great

Great location with parking literally next door. Very sleek, clean and with lovely fluffy white towels! Receptionist very friendly and helpful.

Disgusting!

Literally walked into a building site.
No warning given.
It was dirty as soon as you walked in. Had to step over screws, plaster etc on the stairs to get up to the floor we were staying on. The first floor building site absolutely stunk of food like they were running a takeaway from there.
Dog barking in a room nearby.
The room wasn’t made up to what we booked and paid for. Pictures don’t show how dirty it was.
So after a long journey, walking into that and feeling very uncomfortable we had to find alternative accommodation. Which means we lost our money from this booking. They offered a 1/3 of the price refund in vouchers. I won’t be walking into a travel lodge ever again after this experience. And the customer service team were good for nothing when the complaint was made.
The answer to why weren’t we made aware of the building works was “it’s on the website” well it’s wasn’t when we booked so why would we be looking at the site again?
There’s lots of nice places to stay in Harrogate so shop around.

Terrible

If I could give 0 stars I would, the reception staff were very rude, we arrived 90 minutes before check in time, we were informed there was no room or facilities to store our suitcases so we ended up paying £20 to check in early. When we asked for the internet password we were informed there was a charge of £3.50 for this even though we paid £150 for the room. The breakfast service was terrible the dining room is tiny and not fit for purpose everyone is crammed in and sitting on top of 1 another. There is no fresh fruit or choice of eggs. There is much nicer places to stay in Harrogate, don’t waste your money staying here

AVOID IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP

If sleep matters to you, AVOID this particular Travelodge.
The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and exactly what you’d expect from a Travelodge. Unfortunately, the location completely undermines the stay. The building is surrounded by nightclubs on multiple sides, and the constant bass vibrating through the walls all night meant we didn’t sleep at all. Earplugs were provided on arrival, which was a clear sign of what was to come.
I do want to highlight the excellent reception team, who were warm, welcoming, and genuinely empathetic. Betty, in particular, was fantastic — she helped me arrange a room at the West Park Travelodge nearby, which was much quieter and allowed us to finally get a proper night’s sleep.

Noisy outside till early hours not restful experience

Helpful staff changed my room as was mega noisy and hot to room bit less noisy with fan. Thank you Renee. Curtains not blackout, very noisy outside till small hours So woke up early after short amount of sleep. Room v small average cleanliness bit tired - that’s me and the room. No electric plugs near bed Not good as another long drive today
