Clean, comfortable & friendly staff but a little tired.

It was the first time we’d stayed here and won’t be our last. The rooms are extremely clean, very comfortable bed and staff were pleasantly friendly and helpful.
The only reason I’ve given 4 stars is the decoration and tv’s are tired.
My only other gripe is when redesigning rooms please can we have a 3 pin electric socket at the bed head. I’m finding more the norm these days in most establishments that all the power source is on the opposite side of the room, I understand why this is done however, I’m not alone in having to use medical equipment to sleep & I don’t need an assistance room, I just need to have a power source rather than now having to pack an extension cable that has to run around a room.

Good accommodation

The room was clean and in an ideal situation for us as we were visiting the Aintree Equestrian Centre so it was very convenient. We have stayed here before and we were not disappointed with our stay. The only grip is that when someone leaves another room the doors tend to slam shut which can be a bit of a sleep breaker.

Fine By Me!

I'm slightly biased because I'm a big fan of the race, so was happy to stay next door no matter what. Even so, this was just fine. I read a few reviews before penning mine, and someone said, it is very "Travelodge". This is true, in room size and layout. However, I've got two very small children, and when staying in Travelodges the wall furniture prevents being able to adequately shove all the beds together - but the Stables Inn was moveable, so the kids were happy, and i never had to worry about them falling out of the side. Reception: 24 hour reception, and they were friendly and helpful. Breakfast: A couple on here are moaning about breakfast being unavailable. I don't know about that because I never book breakfast wherever I am BUT there's a Toby Carvery just 20 yards away! Clean: very. Quiet: for it's location, yes. Comfortable: Sure. Would I stay again: yes.

The check in was straight forward, the room was fine typical travel lodge style room, location was good. The down side for us was the smell of people smoking weed - the smell in the corridors was really strong. We mentioned it to staff but was ignored.

Basic, mould in windows, no receptionist on arrival. No air conditioning, minimal plug sockets to charge phone, had to keep
Unplugging fan to use hairdryer / charger etc not value for money very expensive for what you got
