Gran Hotel Victoria ligger mellem Santanders Gran Casino og Magdalena-paladset, blot 100 m fra Sardinero-stranden. Værelserne har gratis trådløs internetadgang og egen balkon, og de fleste af dem har udsigt over havet.

Rather 3 stars instead of 4
Bathroom urgently needs extra attention. Our faucet needed to be descaled and the shower head did not work from a meter, only hard jet or water seeping out. I reported this at check out and hope they will take this into account.
This is the first hotel during our tour in northern Spain that has bread to cut off yourself at breakfast and it is very tasty. Breakfast by the way, only the coffee from the vending machine is Nescafé, but you can ask the employee for and fresh real coffee from an espresso machine.
If you don’t fancy a scrambled egg, you can also ask for a freshly baked one.
The hotel itself is a 20-minute bus ride from Santander. The city is the busiest and least beautiful so far, so after a glitzy visit back to the hotel and enjoy the beach, which you can reach via stairs.
We booked this hotel via weekend desk in a package with half board and a bottle of cava.
The dinner at the hotel was very tasty, but the dishes followed each other too quickly, I suspect our table had to work a double shift, so at 1 hour 3 courses were presented. That was a shame and a minus.
Our room on the 4th floor was above the terrace and was still quite noisy at 23:30, so be sure to bring earplugs.
All in all a good hotel, with good breakfast, but a room that rather has 3star level.

Fantastic and welcoming hotel, that feels "classic" and that I think looks much better in reality than in the photos. The area is quiet and the hotel is only a few hundred meters from each of the main beaches and within 20-25 minutes or so walking distance to the city centre.
Very good room, including the beds and air conditioning. I was only missing other / lower pillows to choose from.
The hotel staff was great (10/10, i.e. perfect!) and make it easy for the guests to relax.
There is no real need to pay for parking, as there is plenty in the streets, at least when people leave the beaches in the afternoon.
Just one remark: Be aware if you book a junior suite that not all of them have a true "beach view", as stated / sold on Hotels.com.

It needs remodeling. Very overpriced
Excellent location. Good restaurant and cafeteria. Tiny and very outdated room. It is not worth what it costs in its current state. Until it is thoroughly remodeled, look for other alternatives.

The hotel had a lovely position with nice open communal spaces. The restaurant was pretty average in terms of quality and choice of food. Our room was lovely and spacious. It was well equipped with great air conditioning which was a blessing. My only complaint was that my husband was told by the receptionist when he arrived that us of the garage was €20. On settling the bill, the new receptionist charged us €28 and when questioned insisted that the other lady couldn’t possibly have told my husband that it was €20. Impossible he said. Basically calling my husband a liar! €28 to store a motorcycle overnight is definitely on the steep side in anybody’s book.

Hotel needs to improve.
The Gran Victoria hotel in Santander has a four-star rating. It has an excellent location. The service from its staff is incredible.
However, it does not meet the four-star standard. The room was cramped, outdated, and the bathroom was of very low quality.
The food is very limited; they serve the pork raw. The breakfast has very few options.
The hotel requires remodeling and a review of the food.
