A THREE STAR QUALITY
One week stay, in a sea view room on the first floor. The excellent rating is given because the hotel has only three stars and was fully satisfactory (perhaps more than some 4-stars). Excellent location directly on the sea, at the beginning of the central street of Platja d'Aro, with all restaurants, bars, shops within walking distance. A few hundred meters you can have everything (from pharmacy to laundry). It has three separate parking areas, with enough spaces for all guests. The room is spacious, with adequate equipment (missing the bidet but we are outside Italy, so relative judgment). Spacious wardrobe. Comfortable bed. Excellent air conditioning and soundproofing. Balcony with fantastic views. Spacious, beautiful and very usable common areas (including a separate internal "garden", furnished with tables and armchairs, parking side, for smokers). Great breakfast for variety and quality of food. Adequate Wi-Fi (I did business meetings in videoconference). The staff is professional (I have read previous reviews where they rated it "cold" or "detached": I do not ask for pampering but services and I had them all, with punctual efficiency).

Hotel was very clean. Beautiful views and easy access to two Platjas. Didn’t get to try the spa on our short trip but hotel was very nice. Amazing views from our sea view room and restaurant and bar. Short walk to town if you want to shop or try other restaurants. Garden and smoking area were very lovely and we enjoyed sangria in the evening out there. Only issue was Wi-Fi in our room and we let reception know so they can work on that. Very recommend if you want a quiet luxury hotel at a great rate.

The hotel has espectacular view from the restaurant, our room had ocean view and we decided to let open the balcony door and slept with the sounds of the ocean. Breakfast was fantastic. Parking wasn’t easy but no cost.

Hotel Costa Brava was the idealistic boutique cliff side hotel you see in the images but what truly made this hotel a memorable place was the staff and attention to detail. From check in to check out, every interaction with staff was a great experience. The attention to detail with the cleaning staff and the monogram deck furniture cushions was a huge bonus as well. Other guests note the breakfast being subpar but to be completely honest with you, you don’t stay at a boutique hotel like this for the breakfast, plus it was more than enough to be a above average dining experience, although my partner and I didn’t stay to enjoy lunch or dinner because we had a full itinerary the 5 days we stayed at Costa Brava, we were very impressed by the variety and atmosphere that the staff had created for all three meals. I highly recommend Hotel Costa Brava and look forward to being a return guest at this quaint but lovely establishment.
