Perfect for our 4 night break!
Lovely hotel, perfect location for walking everywhere. all shops , bars and restaurants just a short walk away.
Not much atmosphere round the pool during the day or night as no music or entertainment but wouldn't put me off going back, also the pool guy was a bit grumpy faced and acted more like a sheriff than anything else but again it wouldn't put me off going back! Staff at the pool bar were lovely and friendly as were the staff at reception! Never any issues getting a sun lounger like ive read in other reviews and we were there end of july which was quite busy!
We were B&B and thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast every morning, plenty choice.
Our room was one with the Juliet balcony (would probably get a proper balcony next time) room was clean but very dated , furniture very dated also but we expected this as it was popular in previous reviews. The one thing id be aware of if going in hotter months is the AC in the rooms is controlled by a timer which can't be changed or managed by yourself !! We were very uncomfortable 2 nights of our 4 night stay as temperatures were upto 35° during the day and 31 at night with no consistent AC.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and may possibly return in the near future.

Mijas
I loved it at Mijas. The staff are so friendly and helpful. It is very handy for town. I think the hotel bathrooms need updated as looking worn. I would recommend it to anyone such a lovely place.

Wonderful stay.
Wonderful stay at the TRH Mijas. We booked two rooms and on arrival both were upgraded, one to a suite, making our 25th wedding anniversary stay even better.
Cannot fault the hotel at all. The staff were amazing and the location perfect. I’ve seen reviews that suggest rooms are dated but I would say they traditionally and tastefully decorated. All areas in the hotel were clean and very well maintained. Spectacular views from the Sun terraces and bar.
I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again.

Hotel Mijas TRH fantastic
I stayed here on a solo holiday for a month and it was fantastic value. I booked bed and breakfast because there’s so much choice in this little town, and it worked perfectly. The staff are brilliant, the rooms are cleaned every day, and the breakfast has a good variety. The view is amazing too.
This isn’t a “wow‑factor” hotel — and it doesn’t claim to be. It suits the area. If you want luxury rooms, go pay luxury prices elsewhere. The rooms here are clean, comfortable, and exactly what you need. The TV even gets ITV, BBC and kids’ cartoons, if you’re staying in (which I don’t recommend — get out and explore!).
The hotel is within walking distance of the picturesque town, and there are regular buses to Torremolinos and Benalmádena, plus easy access to the train station — all for under €2.
A couple of tips:
If you come out of the hotel and go up the black steps, turn right instead of left (left takes you up to the town). About 200 metres down the road, on the opposite side, you’ll find a restaurant called Fiesta. Also, directly across from the black steps is a small bar called Familiar. They have a happy hour, usually advertised on the board outside — 6–8pm — definitely worth a daily visit
You’ll notice lots of repeat guests here, people who come back every year, which says a lot. It’s a great hotel and absolutely worth a visit.
One last thing: after I left, I thought I’d lost my driver’s licence and credit card in the room. I emailed the hotel and they checked immediately — even looked under the beds — and replied while I was still at the airport. Fantastic service. Still waiting for Jet2 to get back to me…
