Lovely holiday

We are halfway through a 10 night stay and can honestly say we are having the best holiday. There are 3 of us, 2 adults and a 7 year old. We are in a Seaview double, it's an adequate size, we are sleeping well, bathroom is large with a shower over bath (ideal with kids) all toiletries provided, shampoo conditioner etc, good hairdryer also. Theresa small fridge in the room which is a bonus..and a beautiful view from the balcony. One of the best things is the pools, August and no issues getting a bed. On a Wednesday and Saturday there is a foam party and inflatables for the kids..the pools are also just the right temperature. The Beach is 5 minutes away and is lovely, with small rock pools to explore.. also amazing icecream shop. Limited shade, so buy a brolly from the supermarket!
Santa cruz is a 5 min bus ride, stop near to hotel and costs 1.5 euros each way.
So even if you don't want the cost of excursions or a hire car there is plenty to see and do.
Food. Breakfast can be very busy and you might struggle getting toast,there is always someone breaking up bits of bread rolls and throwing them in the toaster over and over again ( I think this Is a Spanish thing) breakfast is definately busy and can feel a bit of a battle but food is good and enjoyable. Evening meal same again but us being English go early 7 to 7.30pm and its much better, I've read reviews about the food and surprised as it's OK, I mean it's a buffett, there's always an odd mix of food but I've never been to a buffett that isn't. My son loves the icecream and whilst there is not a huge cake/dessert selection, the cakes ( in particular the carrot cake) are amazing. We are half board so can't comment on the included lunches, but we can't pay as you go and tap your wristband to add to final bill. At the moment I don't think AI would be value for us, assuming from the alacarte menu at lunchtime..you can have a family size pizza for 7 euros and sandwich with chips for less than 5. Drinks are reasonably priced also. The staff are all really friendly and helpful and everywhere is clean. Entertainment in the evening is very low key, normally a singer (older style music) but we have enjoyed sitting outside with that as background music, my son loves the air hockey machine. Yes the entertainment could be slightly better but it's not a deal breaker.
We are having a lovely time and would definitely return.

Great spot, needs updating

Friendly and efficient staff and great cocktails, coffee and soft drinks available at all times. A few choices regards food however food was always cold which was disappointing. Areas of the hotel could do with some updating re rooms and corridors. The corridor carpets were stained and dirty and the suite we were in didn't have working air con. One of the showers not working in the bathroom and light in bathroom dodgy, even the handle fell off the wardrobe when opened which was annoying. Beds and pillows a little lumpy however plenty of room inside and out with a massive balcony and awesome views. Great location and relaxed atmosphere.

Week in the sun

Amazing hotel and lovely location. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning.
Pools are great, no sunbed wars at all.
Meals were good from AI restaurant.
Drinks are branded spirits, liquer coffe, cocktails, all included in the AI. We had a suite on the newer side of the hotel which was lovely.

It has one star too many!

The girls at the front desk are very kind, the service is good in general. The facilities are average, the furniture is old. The most deficient part is the food, we booked half board and neither the breakfast nor the dinner are recommended, the food is very bad. In summary, the hotel is disappointing regarding the meals.

Pretty bad food.

I am currently at the hotel as of August 19, 26.
The hotel is nice, clean, the staff is good but the food... my goodness, how bad! apart from the fact that the trays are mostly empty, there are no plates, today not even bread... the food is really very bad! I don't think I will return to this chain.
