Beautiful countryside house in Basque region
Countryside B&B in Orio. Highly convenient: 20mn drive to San Seb, 15mn to Zarautz & Getaria along the stunning coastline. Short walk into Orio (15mns). Only downside is the industrial area: but this made parking really easy, and no noise pollution as the surrounds are quiet. Vibes are very: escape to the country. Your only neighbours are the ponies and other guests.
Rooms are huge, very modern, clean, comfortable, and air-conditioned (very appreciated as we stayed during the extreme heatwave). Breakfast is incredible! (Big spread of options and eggs cooked fresh to your liking). Shared kitchen facilities available. Each room has outdoor seating space with a parasol, but you can also sit on the shared terrace in the sun. Marije spares no effort to make every guest feel pampered and welcome. She is so hospitable and caring. Very fairly priced for its location.
My only regret was not booking a room with a jacuzzi!! Our excuse to come back on our next Basque trip.

Getaway of 10
Amazing accommodation to spend the weekend. The room was spectacular and the hostess even more. It helped us in everything and made us feel at home from the very beginning.
Breakfast was super complete, the jacuzzi was wonderful and the small details made the difference. I would definitely repeat and recommend it 100%.

Top base for Basque Country
What a great place to stay.
The room are very spacious, luxurious and clean.
As many have pointed out, it is hidden behind an industrial park that does not bother you.
Only when walking to and from the Village of Orio (~10-15 min) it is not a beautiful (and dark evening) walk.
The rooms overlook a hill where ponies and donkeys graze from a garden with privacy.
The beds and sanitary facilities are very comfortable and cleaning is done every day.
Breakfast is great. Exactly enough, no excess and very varied. Just choose how you want your egg made and you start the day with a smile.
The only tip I have is to install other, more comfortable garden furniture with parasol (or other blinds).
Oribar is an absolute must!

Excellent experience in Oribar
Very pleasant experience. Very nice accommodation, very clean, great breakfast and exquisite attention from Marije and the rest of the staff. Very grateful.
