Excellent place from top to bottom

This place is ideally situated near the town center but far enough from the bustling commercial center. There is a comfortable apartment on the top (3rd) floor, a nice kitchen and dining room in the basement, and lots of rooms on the intermediate floors. The staff is really nice. Also, there is a market and an sandwich place nearby.

Yes and No!

Quite good place concerning friendly staff, clean rooms and comfortable beds. However, I was really embarrassed with a horrible smell coming out of the toilet. Probably they have to clean or replace the pipes. The smell wouldn’t disappear with open windows too. Second thing, that I really don’t understand, how is it possible to repair the rooms and the building at 9:00 am when the guests are sleeping! The sound of the drilling machine in the next room was horrifying. So loud and annoying. Aren’t they supposed to do it later after check out. Or at least 12:00-13:00?? The water in the shower wasn’t on always. I had a shower in the morning. Everything worked. In the afternoon the water stopped and came out again with breaks. What to say! A good place at a general point of view. Looks nice and sleeps well! But then the smell, drilling and shower discomfort makes you put 2 or 3 stars with the words: “Next time I will find a better place in Katowice!” Improve you hostel guys! You have chance to be better!

Super lokal

Byliśmy na długi weekend majowy ze znajomymi zwiedzać Katowice. Hostel jest świetnie zlokalizowany w zasięgu pieszym od spodka a i do centrum można dojść w 15 min. Czysto, schludnie, wygodne łóżka. Dostęp do lodówki i kuchni. Blisko plac zabaw. Polecam dla rodzin z dziećmi.

Świetne miejsce, bardzo dobry nocleg za dobrą cenę

W Katowicach prowadzę szkolenia i jeżdżę przede wszystkim w celach biznesowych. Hostel Gwarek wybrałem już kilka razy, gdyż spełnia moje najważniejsze zasady wyboru noclegu - jest w dobrej cenie, jest spokojny, pomocna obsługa i czyste pokoje. Hostel dobry dla małej firmy, dobry tez dla całej rodziny. Polecam!

Dobry hostel, kilka pieter pokoi i dormow, ogrod. Mila obsluga. Udany weekend i miejsce godne polecenie, po niskich cenach. 1km - 1 przystanek tramwajem od Spodka. Brak tylko jakiegos baru lub vending na terenie hostelu. Polecam Gwarek!
