Personal Care for You

My wife and I have been at Eco Lodge Ccatan 4 or more times over the last 8 years. It is just a wonderful place in Urubamba to unwind and relax. The owner makes your visit there a very special time, with her personal attention and care for you while you are there. She is a very good source of information about Urubamba and Machu Picchu, and is willing to help you connect with good people in their area.

Wonderful Urubamba Experience

Wonderful accommodations in the historic Sacred Valley. Yami our host was absolutely wonderful. I would highly recommend a stay here.The grounds are very natural. The meals great. Lots of hot water for showers.

Peaceful, welcoming, delightful

Yami and Miguel are great hosts and this simple, peaceful place, a 15 minute walk out of the centre of Urubamba, was exactly what we needed after long flights from the UK. A great place from which to explore the Sacred Valley and it seems there is nothing that Yami and Miguel cannot help to arrange, from riding to mountain biking to walking and of course visits to the main archaeological sites.

Home from Home at Ccatan in Urubamba

CCATAN Home from Home
We stayed 3 nights at Eco Lodge CCATAN which is in a residential area on the outskirts of Urubamba. We much appreciated the tranquility of this lovely guest house and the very warm welcome from Yami. Infact Yami was very helpful throughout our stay and we thoroughly enjoyed the generous breakfasts and delicious dinners, both by arrangement. Yami also recommended a very capable and knowledgeable driver, Ruben, to visit the nearby places of interest Chincheros, Moray and Maras. A fascinating day.
The rooms are charming with pleasant views of the garden and the bathrooms adequate with plenty of hot water.
If you need some peace and quiet in between the hubbub of Cusco and Machu Picchu, then Ccatan ticks the boxes and is very good value.
Thank you Yami. We hope to be back.

Humble accomodation with the luxury treatment

This hostel is far from fancy but it has everything you need. It is away from the noise but not too far ( just a seven minute cab ride to the middle of town), it was clean, my second floor room had a nice view of the green areas, and of far away mountains. Most, importantly, it has a great host, Yami, Yami took amazing care of my husband when he got sick our first night there. She gave him some special herb and did a shamanistic ritual which incredibly worked. She did this at no extra charge. He went to sleep within seconds and woke up the next day like new. Yami also assisted with calling cabs who charged less than most people who we hailed on the street. The only drawback, I would say is that even though the property itself is well lit, the unpaved road leading there isn't. Since we are traveling with a small child, we were frightened at first and made sure we never got back too late. However, after spending sometime there, we quickly started to feel more comfortable. You can definitely feel that you are not in a big town here. Doors are left wide open, people in the cabs return your phone which you forgot in the back of the cab. It is a nice place, not corrupted yet. My daughter happily played in the garden with all the cats and dogs and with Yami's very handsome son. One of the dogs who always walked us up to wait for our cabs was nicknamed Senor Woof Woof. I highly recommend it, a good value for the money. this way you have more spending money. There are lots of restaurants to try like: Huacatay and one that starts with an I with the tree house.
