perfect base camp

Great place with a wonderfull owner, always ready to help.
From the first second, you will feel welcome.
We arrived for 1 night but decided to come back twice (before and after taquile trip) as Wisny Inn is a perfect place to rest.

Nice stay at Inn overlooking Lake Titicaca

Hotel a little hard to find (we arrived by car) but super friendly couple running the hotel who couldn't do enough for us. They were kind enough to let us park our 2 cars in the hotel's garage (locked up). Not sure about the neighborhood. Many bars across windows and doors. 5-10 minute taxi ride into center of town. All our rooms had views on the lake. All bedrooms had their own bathrooms. Some of the showers had hot water, others luke warm. Hotel and rooms quite cold at night. Staff provided a heater for my mother at a small extra charge. Heavy blankets on beds so not cold sleeping, just in the morning when getting up and having breakfast. Noisy (dogs, traffic, construction, fireworks) like everywhere in Peru because of the single glazing. Breakfast good with eggs and at a time that best suited us.

We liked it but not everything in the description was delivered

The owners were very lovely and I had to laugh at the eccentric decorations. We had an electric disco ball in our room! Tito would get us hot water and tea of an evening and the breakfast included eggs some days!
But we also ran into several hiccups. On booking.com it said there was a free pick up from the bus station. There wasn't. It said there was hot water, with Tito claiming it was mas caliente at night. It might be mas but it wasn't moi caliente, the water was lukewarm at best and outside was freezing, so horrid showers. We booked an ocean view room but got given a tiny room with an ocean view only at the very corner of the window. As far as we could tell we were the only people staying so why give us the not so good room? In saying that it was clean and the beds comfortable. It's very far from town too, we'd picked it because of the reviews but in the end the room we got probably wasn't worth it for the distance.

Lovely View of Lake Titicaca

We spent two nights at Wisny Inn in Puno and really appreciated the great view of Lake Titicaca. The sunrise and sunset over the Lake were incredible - not to mention how happy were to get real Hot water showers in the cold. The couple the Inn were friendly, helpful and arranged our pick up on arrival late in the evening. A lovley place to appreciate the city of Puno though not in the centre if the city, but a nice scenic get away.

Friendly and Helpful

Stayed for one night and it was great, the people were extremely friendly offered to help with anything we needed, place was very clean and they also had wi-fi. Recommend to anyone staying in Puno. Located a little away from the centre but taxi is very cheap (less than 10 soles) and has a view over the town and the lake Titicaca.
