Magnificent place
Magnificent hotel, the staff is super welcoming and very attentive. The spaces are great and the 2 restaurants are super good, with a soft spot for the Japanese one with a wonderful waitress. Thank you for the welcome.

Lovely relaxing stay at Copal Tulum
Had an amazing stay at Copal Tulum. The hotel is gorgeous and set in the jungle and it was beautiful to have breakfast outside every morning. The pool was lovely and relaxing. The rooftop is beautiful. Food at the restaurant was great. One day we put the do not disturb on our door and they messaged us to ask if we wanted our room cleaned later on in the day! Very very attentive, we felt very well cared for. As a lesbian couple we felt very comfortable and I cannot stress enough how kind all the staff were. At check out they kept our bags and allowed us to use the facilities. Really lovely room, we had the private pool and it was really worth it. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Lovely bathroom with big shower and hot water. Would really recommend staying here!

Highly recommend - Stunning hotel and safe area
I visited Copal with a friend in April and it exceeded all expectations. Our room was stunning - clean, spacious and bright, the bed was really comfy too! It was extremely good value for what we paid! The two pools were gorgeous and really well maintained. The restaurant was a lovely atmospheric setting with great food. All of the staff were so attentive and helpful and as two girls we felt really safe in this particular area - location was great as we were only a 5 minute taxi to the centre. The hotel had arranged a taxi for us for the week called Jesus who was super and definitely added to our sense of safety as we got around tulum.

Magical!
The setting is magical! We loved this hotel, as soothing as it is exotic. A big thank you to the whole team that works there and particularly to Manuel who always has a smile! We can only recommend it!!

The staff was very kind and checked in every time we passed the lobby. They helped us out immediately when we had no hot water.
We liked the jungle setting and the pool. It was quiet and it has a shallow part for toddlers. The restaurant is very fine and the breakfast was good.
We enjoyed our stay but would like to point out the following issues:
The hotel rooms are beautifully designed but the promo pictures differ from reality. The kitchen was not clean enough (stains inside the cupboards), not well equipped (only one small spoon, no kitchen towels) and the oven was coming out when we wanted to open it. The same can be said about the bathroom.
The one bedroom appartment (212) is adjacent to another room (212a), both rooms seemed to be connected some point in the past. The door is made shut with simple wooden panels, which did not filter out any noise. When the neighbours were talking, it was if they were standing next to us. This is cheap and easy to fix with some insulation and this can save a lot of frustration. Maybe this was even more frustrating for our neighbours because we had a toddler with us.
The hotel is not too far from the city centre but on the border of a shady neighbourhood. Nothing to worry about, as there is security on the premises 24/7.
I don’t understand why you would ask 100 Mexican pesos for a water bottle (1 litre) as the tap water is not drinkable. Other hotels and Airbnb’s offer filtered water for free. This is terribly overpriced and maybe a symptom of the fact that tourists are starting to pass on Tulum, with the consequence that many hotels and restaurants are going out of business. There is nothing wrong with some reasonableness (and maybe you would sell more water and make a higher profit).
We nevertheless really enjoyed our stay.
