Lovely stay

My partner and I due to unforeseen circumstances needed to extend our stay in Marrakesh. We had already had our ‘holiday’ and checked out of previous riad. We quickly found that riad azia had availability for us and booked for an extra two nights. The stay was smooth and comfortable. Staff were super friendly. The rooms very plush with big comfortable bed and lovely big bathroom and shower space. The riad itself is a blend of traditional Moroccan style with a lovely modern touch. Lovely courtyard, roof terrace to relax and the riad has a mini outdoor pool and couple of sun loungers (we would have used if the weather was kinder to us!). Lovely food (breakfast and evening meals ate here) and great choice. Very clean, comfortable stay.
We did experience a bit of flooding/leakage in our room however we did have freak, unprecedented weather of a hail/snow storm in April!! So we understand this is probably not a typical situation. This was not too disruptive by any means and please note again this was likely due to freak weather and we imagine not a common occurrence!
The riad is about a 20 min drive from the medina and walled city - would be ideal to taxi to or get an inDrive. The hotel itself is closer to the airport but does have a small supermarket, restaurant and amenities in walking distance. For full exploration again would need to book a taxi.
The riad seemed to offer a wide range of trips and excursions too! Whilst we did not experience these from our experience at the riad and with the lovely staff we imagine these would be very well organised and enjoyable.
Thank you for a great, friendly stay. A great base if you wish to book a trip to Marrakesh and stay in a peaceful riad with taxi options to medina and a great excursion choice via the riad! :)

This is one of the most gorgeous riads I’ve ever stayed at - it’s conveniently located a short distance from the airport and less than 10 minutes by taxi to the Medina. The premises are gated for safety and safety privacy. The premises are immaculate and just beautiful - I I was immediately welcomed by the most gracious of hosts who was super friendly, helpful, and fluent in English. There’s a charming pool on the front lawn,where one fine feline sunbathes all day basically. The interior is majestic and just plain gorgeous - lots of light authentic Moroccan decor plenty of room to sit and enjoy a cup of tea, spacious rooms with everything you need or want - AC, huge renovated bathroom fully stocked with shampo, conditioner, soap, blow dryer, etc. The room contains a fridge as well as. Water heater. The bed was super comfy. And the breakfast is just amazing!! All round tho Riad is superb and I warmly recommend it to anyone visiting Marrakesh

Everything was amazing!!! Hamza, Shama & Yusuf were so helpful with anything we needed. Beautiful property and amazing food. I would book here again & again! I will miss the kitties forever

We had a very pleasant stay at the Riad Azia. Hamza handled majority of our logistics and other schedules in very efficient manner. He also assisted with a tour and some other requirements. The staff were all very pleasant and attentive during our stay. The location is away from Medina but good access to everything within Marrakech.
