Before our table at the breakfast restaurant, Ezoris came to eat breakfast!

Although I am a Hokkaido resident, it was my first time to visit Onkonyu Onsen. It seems that there are only two onsen inns left in the Onsen town today, and one of them, the Oe head family, is a long-established inn founded over 130 years ago.
　We squirmed through the Western-style twin rooms. The twin rooms were on the seventh floor and had panoramic views of the river in front of the hotel, the spa town beyond, and the hills further out. The rooms were renovated and beautiful.
　Our plan is to have both dinner and breakfast buffet. The buffet restaurant was very spacious and I could sit back and enjoy my meal. At breakfast, as he was eating at the table by the window, an ezolith came through the large window to the stump where the walnuts were sitting, and began to eat. Wild birds also came there, and they made me feel at ease in the morning.
　The hot spring is 100% pure water poured directly from the source, named "Brightening hot water". The public bath was spacious, with several baths and an open-air bath.

Loved every second of our stay :)

What a wonderful experience! We were greeted at the door and taken straight to check in. A lovely lady took care of us and checked us in. She explained everything with regards to the facilities and we went to our room. We used the onion and used our yukata and slippers the entire time. The food was lovely in the restaurant and the dinner and breakfast were so good we ate more than we needed to. The Onson was nice and a free massage chair-in fact 3 were available. This made a lovely country stay even better. Fresh air, a fierce river and lovely Japanese hospitality. The only thing to be wary of is that in September there are hundreds if not thousands of ladybirds flying around. They dont bite so it is not an issue at all.

A large hotel but quite out of the way, close to fox farm, and a roadside places. The services were exceptional, the service lady came out to greet and take our luggage from the car. Room was a little small but still comfy. The onsen was large area but perhaps was very popular so there were a lot of people. Free massage chairs outside. Free coins for children to play at the games arcade. Cute parrot at the side. Large souvenir shop. Food was awesome. Buffet style and lots of food, crap, Yakiniku style. Breakfast was not bad but not as good as dinner. Nice river next to the hotel.

The best hot spring hotel with an economic price throughout my trip! It was with massage chair, 4 types of indoor hotspring and 2 types of outdoor ones. Provided high quality skin care cream. Rooms are wide and with good view of Rubeshibe.

Best service

While dated, room was considered well maintained. Service was one of the best in my 6 nights Hokkaido stay thus far. The dinner buffet has bigger crab legs than another more renowned hotel I stayed the next night in Lake Akan. Intimate hotel worth staying the night for a stopover.
