A Gem of a find
We are the pleasure of staying in Windway House for two nights. The hosts Frank& Mary couldn’t be more hospitable and welcoming.
It fitted our every need.
It’s a comfortable home away from home.
We look forward to making a return visit.

Not Up to Expectations
First of all, there's no way this place deserves a 4 star rating. The rooms are small and the bathroom tinier. You have to work your way past the little sink to use the toilet but that's not what really set me off and motivated me to write this review. When we arrived, Frank greeted us and showed us to the room. It wasn't great but I figured that's what you get from a little guest house. Then he showed us a clear reuseable bottle with a stopper in it and said...'this is your drinking water'. My ears perked up and I asked if we could drink the tap water and he said no because it was water from the house reservoir. But he assured us it was fine for showers and tooth brushing and hand washing. Umm...no it's not. And the bottles of water were unacceptable, too. I wonder if they do health inspections in Ireland like they do in the states. This would not pass. Anyway, we stayed for the two nights. BTW, Frank has a 3 hour check-in window, 4 to 7. We made it but only by about 20 minutes. Our bus from Limerick was late which pushed back another activity we had planned and paid for. Sorry, Frank. You're a good guy but I can't recommend your B&B without some serious upgrades.

Quiet simple accommodation option
Located on a quiet school street approx 10 mins walk from the centre of town, Frank was very welcoming when we arrived and when we saw him in the corridor.
Beds were comfortable, bathroom was snug but workable!
Access offered to microwave, fridge etc but we didn’t use these. Good if you were wanting to have your breakfast there (breakfast not provided).
Would recommend Frank’s place.

Overnight stay
Frank is a great host, waited up for us who needed to check in late due to flight delays. Rooms are comfortable, we slept and showered well. Tea and coffee supplied plus a hair dryer and safe. Close walk into the town centre plenty of breakfast places just ask Frank.

Ideal Location
Windway House is only a 10 minute walk from the bus and train station and its location is absolutely ideal because the location is really quiet at night so you have the benefit of being 5 minutes away from High Street and Main Street yet you also have the chance to have a great nights sleep.
Frank was a great host. Really helpful and really great with guests and he was very funny too. His communication before and during our stay was fantastic and he was really helpful and made sure we got to the INEC on time by arranging transport.
Considering the cold snap at the moment, Frank made sure the heating was on and the rooms were really comfortable and warm and the rooms were really clean too which is a credit to the hosts.
I would definitely stay here again and I would definitely recommend it to anybody seeking a great location with great hosts.
