This hotel is a family hotel with the perfect swimming pool for kids on the ground floor with places for the parents to sit around. They even did kids entertainment. However as we are friends traveling, not our thing. In stead we made use of the hotel’s rental bicycles to cycle around Malang. This was so nice! On a Sunday trafic is sligthly less busy do perfect to cycle to Rainbow Village. Our room was a (family) appartement on the 6th floor and way too big for us. It also had a very bad smell, so we asked to change and got a much better room on the 7th floor. We even had our laundry done at the hotel! Breakfast was included and offered all the Indonesian dishes, as well as fruit, toasted bread and a chef preparing your eggs to your liking. And if you have cravings for yoghurt, there is a supermarkt at 5 min walk where they sell this!

Cleanliness was fine and the cleaners are really nice. They also speak better English than most. The room is very worn. There was mold in the ceiling, the watertap was loose and we had trouble stopping the water etc. Breakfast was decent as Indonesian but really bad as American. The waitress was very nice. She even gave us an appreciated omelette. The pool looks nice. This hotel has seen better days, but it still charges as if all is fine.

Our stay was acceptable overall, though certain aspects did not fully meet our expectations

The check-in process was great. We ordered an extra bed for IDR 200,000 per night, but unfortunately, the condition of the bed was poor. My daughter was unable to sleep well because she was worried it might break. We requested a replacement on the second day, but no one followed up. We asked again on the last night, and only then was a proper extra bed provided.
The bathroom door could not close properly—you had to lock it in order for it to stay closed. In addition, there was no hairdryer provided in the room.
On a positive note, the restaurant staff were very nice and the food was good. However, the breakfast menu was almost the same throughout our three-night stay.
We also requested additional towels for use at the pool, but the Housekeeping team informed us that there were no spare towels available. My husband had to suggest taking towels from an unoccupied room so our children could dry off after swimming before heading to the restaurant for lunch.
My husband requested a late check-out of one additional hour so our baby could take a nap, but the staff only granted 30 minutes and showed little empathy even we know that the hotel not in full occupancy condition on that day. As a result, we checked out earlier than the standard check-out time.
As hoteliers ourselves, we believe the reception team should understand the importance of prioritizing guests, especially families traveling with children.
