Budget stay in budget hotel
The property is clearly geared toward travelers looking for value for money rather than a luxury experience. I appreciated that the hotel tries to cater to the practical needs of visitors, including assistance with essentials such as local SIM cards and travel-related arrangements.
As expected from a budget hotel, the rooms are fairly basic and primarily suitable for spending the night after a day of sightseeing. However, my biggest concern was cleanliness. The bed linen and bedsheets did not appear as clean as they should have been, which affected the overall comfort of our stay. Unfortunately, I did not sleep well during the night because of this.
To be fair, many of the limitations are consistent with the price point of the property, so it would be unreasonable to expect premium facilities. That said, cleanliness is a basic expectation regardless of the category of hotel, and this is an area that needs improvement.
Overall, our stay was below average, but it largely aligned with what one might expect from a budget accommodation. The one memory that will stay with me, however, is enjoying an early morning run along Dal Lake. The stunning views and peaceful atmosphere made for a truly memorable experience and were the highlight of our visit.

Amazing stay!
We were given one of the best rooms with a beautiful view of Dal Lake and the mountains on the right side - waking up to that scenery was amazing and so much relaxing. We even ended up doing a bit of 'light holiday yoga' every morning, that view was such a great motivation, it made that feel so spiritual.
The staff (Mr Inayat and team) were very polite and cooperative, and the whole place had a charming Kashmiri wood work feel in the reception, food court and in the room we stayed.
The hospitality throughout our stay made us feel very comfortable and cared for. The food and breakfast were good too. As the name says, the hotel really is welcoming. Me and my parents enjoyed our stay a lot and would happily return.
