The traditional Kerala style Resort

This resort is genuinely designed in a traditional Kerala style. If someone really wishes to feel the tradition, they can come to this resort. The rooms were big, little small toilets with a beautiful backwater view from the swimming pool. The Ayurvedic Kerala treatment for my spouse was fruitful, it's genuinely a safe family resort, the rooms smell Ayurvedic aroma but good for health. The swimming pool was beautiful but only felt a little unsafe for the caterpillar kinds of insects which run around, they might enter inside your ears, so the management should put more attention towards the swimming pool. The list of breakfast items was very less but I feel that they will work on it. M/s Sanika the real women behind the resort running so smoothly, without her nothing could have been fruitful during our stay and she should train Mr Arun about how to treat a guest. The rest, everyone should visit this resort and enjoy their traditional atmosphere. Cheers M/s Sanika for your professional way of working, you should get promotion for your work.

Disappointing

What you see on the website regarding the rooms and cleanliness is not what you get, I was so disappointed as I was looking forward for this special ‘me’ time but no comfort
The bathrooms are tight without a proper counter to put your toiletries
The tapwares are rusted and no HOT shower. You get hot water from tap and as it is installed at a very low level, if you want hot water, you must sit on the floor of the shower area and cleanliness is very doubtful
With the massages that you get, you need to wash your hair, but no hairdryer available
You can hear the people of the neighbor rooms talking loud in the corridor along with the kids and it’s no more a retreat
The Dr’s are great as the therapists and this might save the stay along with the food
However I remain on a disappointment note…..it’s unfortunate that what is advertised as pictures has nothing to do with what you get
And I am writing this review while still being here and negotiating to cancel my stay and move to another property

A retreat to stay at Ananda

I really like this resort. It is private, beautiful and with a great staff. If you like ayurveda treatments, they have fantastic doctors and therapists and I felt comfortable with their advices and treatments.
It was a retreat for me - I could just sit quitely in the beautiful garden and read my book in between my treatments. Some times it could have been nice to do something else in the 14 days I stayed there so maybe more planned activities with the hotel. However they planned a boattrip and Indian dancer the last days, I were there.
Need to mention the food - it was real nice Kerala food even though I was on a diet.

Avoid this Fraud

Place is a conshop.
The masseur gets disturbed every 5 mins be doctor / receptionist. He picks phone every 5 mins. A rush job, 60 mins crunched in 30 mins. Absolutely avoid this place. Tooo crowded every day. The staff is useless and absolutely running a luxury fraud at services worst than 1 star property. ACs dont work. Zero cleanliness

Great location. Excellent treatment processes

Excellent location and serene surroundings. The ayurveda team were brilliant and the treatment routine was very good
The people are very caring, friendly and ready to serve.
Do not expect a resort - in terms of amenities, food or service. These are quite basic. The choice of food, the timings and quality is more for those who come for care and not for vacation.
Our experience was great since we wanted a quiet, ayurvedic experience. That’s was met well.
