3 days 3 nights with the family at Theil Castle
The table is excellent it is a gourmet cuisine making with happiness and creativity the fusion between local cuisine of quality local products, and an influence full of Latin American inventiveness, normal chefs and sous chef coming from Colombia.
The rooms are very beautiful and comfortable, between centuries old granite walls and modern design.
The welcome is very nice, the staff, young, is attentive without overdoing.
Really a very nice address, if not THE address in Haute-Corrèze.

Good but still a few details to iron out...
But when you want to give a certain standard to your establishment, you must precisely pay attention to the details...
We had a beautiful "Comfort" room, which was spacious. The toilet is not separate, which is a shame. Excellent bedding, a courtesy tray, and a small fridge. In the bathroom, you will find quality towels, a small toiletry kit, soap, and shampoo.
But there is a but: the paint is already damaged on the corners, an outlet does not work, the curtain tracks have no stops and therefore come out of their support as soon as you touch them, and there is only a simple sheer curtain on the bathroom windows (I will let you imagine the evening...). As for the air conditioning, it is "being installed." We can understand, and appreciated the fan present in the room, but would have appreciated it even more if it had been specified on the site!! Especially since the price, for its part, is not "being installed"...
As for the breakfast, it is not highlighted and is a bit sad to see. The selection is varied and the products are of high quality, but there is little choice in each food category. When we arrived there was one slice of ham left, the tray was never replenished. The fact of being able to order your eggs and pancakes "made to order" is, however, very appreciable! A real effort must be made regarding this breakfast area, which is a bit small. The presentation on the bar is really not a good option and does not enhance the buffet...
In short, a nice establishment, but one that must make the necessary efforts to reach the standard it has set for itself!
Special mention for the staff, hotel and restaurant, very pleasant!

Disappointing
First, you need to find it: no signs, no indications.
Then you arrive via a path in a dirt area at the back of the building that serves as a parking lot and provides access to the reception. If you are lucky, you will find someone at the reception; otherwise, wait or use the bell at the counter.
THE "Comfort" ROOM: Nicely decorated, but with an uninteresting view of a completely black building and piles of rubble. The toilets are in the large bathroom (shower and sink without soap). Heating and air conditioning are absent (being installed). For the night, you can lower the blinds provided you are at least 5 feet 9 inches tall. No closet to store your clothes, just an open wardrobe. The bedding is excellent and has no complaints.
You will have a hard time finding consolation at breakfast, which is rather meager.
RESTAURANT: Pleasant room and excellent cuisine from the chef, but limited choices. Skeleton wine list. Wine by the glass available upon request, provided you only choose the color (white or red).
STAFF: rather efficient and attentive, but clearly not very happy to work in this establishment.
The owners are more skilled in video communication or gardening than in hospitality. What a shame!
