A little disappointed...

6th visit to this establishment.
A little disappointed this weekend of July 25th...
The key card did not allow the room to be opened... not you.
The soap dispenser in the shower was empty after the first shower... grrr

Air conditioning did not work during heat wave + no proper solution of after-service

We stayed at the Kyriad Tours Centre during the heatwave, when the outside temperature was about 43°C. Of course, we understand that such temperatures put a heavy strain on an air conditioning system, but the air conditioning in the hotel clearly did not function properly.
Our first room rose to an unpleasant temperature within the first hour. After we reported this, we were fortunately immediately assigned another room. It initially felt a little fresher, but eventually never cooled down sufficiently and only got warmer during the evening and night. The temperature rose to about 30 ° C, so we could hardly sleep. The breakfast room was also uncomfortably hot, indicating that the problem was not limited to one room.
After our complaint, we were told by the customer service that the air conditioning worked perfectly according to the hotel and that the high room temperature was solely due to the exceptional outside temperatures. That explanation is completely inconsistent with our experience. If the air conditioning had worked properly, the temperature in both rooms would never have risen so high.
As compensation we got €30 back for breakfast and parking, while our hotel bill was about €130. Given that the main service we paid for was not provided, we consider this a very limited concession.
In the end, we found the most disappointing the way our complaint was handled. Instead of acknowledging that there might be a technical problem with the air conditioning, the hotel insisted that everything was working properly, while we had the same experience in two different rooms.
What makes this experience even more unfortunate is that we stayed in Kyriad Troyes two years ago and had a pleasant stay there. It is for this very reason that we all the more regret that this experience and the handling of our complaint have been so disappointing.

The room was pretty good, but if it is hot outside stay elsewhere as the room a/c is barely operational. The first room we were given, even with the a/c on full the temperature only went up from 27°C to 29°C. So we changed rooms, the 2nd room we were able to get the temp down to 27.5°C.
If not for the a/c issue, I would have rated this place as a 4☆.
Breakfast was pretty good.
The front desk staff were excellent.

Impeccable.

Good bedding, close to everything, quiet neighborhood.
Breakfast is a good value for money, and the staff is very kind.
