Authentic mountain stay

Despite health problems, the owner is taking care of his customers. The room was clean and the quadruple is particularly spacious. Many of the products offered for breakfast are homemade (country bread, butter made that same morning, jam, salted butter caramel, goat cake, omelet) with ingredients from the nearby farm. Possibility of meals or snacks on site always with organic products. We had a pleasant stay in an authentic mountain atmosphere.

Hiking getaway

Fantastic location to relax and as a hiking base. Clean big rooms with a view. The owner is so nice and an amazing chef! Having dinner here is a must to have locally grown and produced masterpieces. Breakfast is amazing too.

Comfortable and welcoming

Stayed for three nights for skiing in Avoriaz. This was the first time we had stayed in a chalet. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and John Bernard was an excellent host . As a vegan finding food in France can be tricky . JB made delicious 4 course meals for us which was particularly impressive as my French is very poor !
The bus stop to Avoriaz or Morzine is about 150 metres from the Chalet . The buses get very busy and we found the best way to get to Avoriaz was to get bus to Morzine and stay on for return journey . Only takes about 30 minutes. A car would be handy here but the bus was fine. The chalet prob sleeps about 10 people so would be a great place for family or friends.

Comfortable and warm chalet with a cheerful host

Going to Morzine for work with a colleague, I was able to make a last-minute booking (in ski season!) at a very reasonable price for two rooms.
The rooms were small but well-heated, the bathrooms and beddings absolutely spotless.
The common area was very pleasant, breakfast (fresh croissants, freshly-squeezed orange juice, etc.) was excellent.
Upon arrival the first evening, I had reserved the "table d'hôte" which was a copious and very reasonably-priced meal.
The foods (wine, jams, cheeses, etc.) are all from local producers and of high quality.
The chalet is a six-minute drive from the center of town, has good WiFi, and, most of all, a remarkably cheerful and helpful host.
Totally recommended !

Super gîte avec un propriétaire très accueillant

Nous avons passé un super séjour. Le propriétaire est aux petits soins pour ces clients. Adaptable sur tout et de très bonne compagnie. Le gîte est très bien placé à 300m de la navette gratuite pour aller à morzine ou avoriaz. Les chambres sont très biens et très confortables. Petit déjeuner et repas très bon et copieux. Nous recommandons pleinement ce gîte !
