We loved Mas de la Feuillade. The staff were fantastic, the grounds fascinating and the rooms charming and historic. 10 minutes to the airport, which was very practical.

Funky B&B centrally located in Montpellier with great on-site parking for 3 euros

Funky B&B centrally located in Montpellier with great on-site parking for 3 euros. No reception, and we had to tell the manager at what time we would arrive so that he could give us access. The Chinese housekeeper/breakfast chef was charming. I was amused to find that her English was better than her French.
Our room was large but very old-fashioned. Steep staircase to access it. Nice view on the park, which is supposedly off limits to hotel guests.
Altogether a rather strange experience, but so convenient for our road trip, and dinner in town with an old friend, as other centrally-located hotels in Montpellier in the pedestrian zone make it difficult for those on a driving trip.

⚠️ Catastrophic experience – to flee absolutely!

I booked two nights in this guest house in Montpellier on the weekend of July 12 to celebrate my birthday. That same evening, I started to feel itchy, and when I wanted to adjust the air conditioning (which was not working), I noticed bed bugs in the bed. There were not one or two, but several, including baby bugs, which shows that the infestation is known and ancient.
Traumatized, I tried to call the reception at 4am: no answer. I went out into the street looking for someone, nobody. I had to leave immediately, without knowing if my belongings were contaminated. As a precaution, I washed everything again, I even left things on the spot for fear of bringing the bugs home (I come from Lyon).
I sent a message to the staff the same day. Zero response for 5 days. And now, on July 17th, I’m being contacted... not to apologize or check on me, but simply to ask me to delete my review.
This behaviour is unacceptable. No health or safety concerns for customers, no assistance, no reimbursement offered. They only worry about their reputation, not the trauma they suffer.
❌ To be absolutely avoided. If you care about your health, sleep and business, avoid this establishment

A meal under the sway and shade of a typical farmhouse of the region.

A family meal in the early evening with simplicity. A small table of six people under the grass, near a large park. A polite and discreet Service that offered us simple dishes, obviously prepared in the kitchen by a chef favoring local and seasonal products. A perfectly correct final rating for a privileged moment
