One of the most delightful and beautiful hotels I've ever stayed in. Loved the authentic Gothic architecture with the exposed brick and beams and courtyard.
The our guestroom was large with a great view and wonderful amenities. The staff was so helpful and informative too.

This is an amazing place to stay. Not only is the building historic but amenities are first class and current.
The breakfast was first rate. But most of all was the helpful and welcoming staff.
Staying here was a highlight of our trip.

Maison Bakea: Medieval Charm, Exceptional Host

Staying at Maison Bakea was one of the highlights of our trip to France. Cordes-sur-Ciel is already unforgettable, but being at the very top of the village in this beautifully restored medieval house made it even more special. The host could not have been warmer or more attentive. Traveling with a family member with reduced mobility, I was touched that she had prepared a ground-floor room just in case the stairs were difficult. On arrival she offered us a choice of rooms and throughout our stay gave thoughtful guidance on what to see and where to eat. At breakfast she made sure each guest had personalized suggestions for exploring the region.
The house itself is remarkable. Restored over many years by local artisans trained in traditional methods, it truly feels like stepping into the 13th century, with stone walls, wooden beams, and a magnificent medieval fireplace in the sitting room. At the same time, comfort has not been sacrificed: our rooms were spacious and inviting, with modern bathrooms, bathrobes, and excellent Wi-Fi. I especially enjoyed reading in the common room, with the sense of history all around.
Breakfast was another highlight, served either on the patio with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside or at the long dining table. Everything was locally sourced, and the cheeses, yogurt, and charcuterie reflected the richness of the region. Parking near the front door was a real advantage in a hilltop village, and I loved that you can enter through the front of the house but step out the back directly into the medieval streets — it feels like a secret passage into history.
Maison Bakea is perfect for anyone who loves history, atmosphere, and genuine hospitality. A truly memorable stay.

Probably the best pick in Cordes-sur-Ciel

Very nice welcome by the manager of this B&B.
Well decorated medieval times house with an incredible view from the window of our room.
We also liked the breakfast that can be served indoor or on the patio with the view,
