A gem with facilities for disabled
Hôtel du musée
We chose this hotel because we needed a PMR room ( disability )and our email enquiry to see if it was available for the dates we wanted was quickly answered as were subsequent emails.
We booked directly with the hotel for our stay in June.
There is only roadside parking but this did not prove to a problem as there was PMR parking outside the hotel and we were lucky enough to use that everyday.
On arrival Élodie the owner helped with all our luggage to our room on the first floor via a lift.
The room overlooked the road and the older houses on the other side, a large room with easy access for a wheelchair and a spacious wet room. The bed was extra large and very comfortable, the bed linen top quality.
We booked for bed and breakfast which was available from 07.00 to 10.00 which was idea no need to rush with a disabled person.Continental style with an excellent choice of breads meats cheeses jams croissants and pain aux chocolat.
The menu for the evening meal was the same each day with about six choices which we thoroughly enjoyed, served by a great English speaking waiter, Olivier, who kept us all amused, a musician he told us, but he never sang!
As for the owners Élodie and her husband they could not have done more to make our stay so enjoyable and easy a great help to me as my wife’s carer!
This is a 3 star hotel which for us offered 5 star attention for which we are extremely grateful. Thank you Élodie and your staff.

A bad memory
I do not understand the rating of 4 given to this hotel, which does not deserve 3 stars.
Let's start with the positive, it will take little time:
Located near the city center and the Christian Dior museum
For the rest, located along a busy and very steep road, it is therefore very noisy and the double glazing is useless in the summer because it is very hot in the rooms without AC and opening the windows is mandatory, thus guaranteeing you a difficult night.
Our tiny and grim room looked out onto a wall and the very basic layout makes a highway Formule 1 look cozy.
Another drawback, the (small) parking lot is reserved for hotel employees because it is extremely difficult to find a spot to park your car in Granville; never in my life as a frequent traveler have I parked so far from the hotel.!
My judgment might be less severe if I had paid €80 for my room... but €135 is totally excessive even if Granville does not seem to shine with its hotel offerings and it is undoubtedly this lack of competition that explains this price.
Last point, the young woman at the front desk is charming and is in no way responsible for these problems.

Excellent location in Grandville
We booked this hotel last year as we wanted to make sure the room with disability facilities was available. From my first email of enquiry to the day we left after a week stay the kindness and helpfulness was outstanding.
The room reached by. Lift on the first floor was spacious allowing wheelchair access, the bed enormous and bed linen high quality,
We ate in the restaurant breakfast was continental, a buffet with wide choices.
The evening menu had a good choice and was well presented.
Overall we were more than happy with the hotel which although 3 star gave 5 star service from the owners. Thoroughly recommended.

Very quiet hotel just 5 minutes on foot from the heart of the city.
Very clean room and very well equipped.
Bedding worthy of a high-end hotel.
I dined at the restaurant, which offers homemade dishes.
The staff is attentive to your expectations.

Exceptional.
A big thank you for your hospitality. We had a delightful time in your establishment. I slept very well, plus points for the bedding, and I enjoyed a late breakfast the half-board option was perfect!! Refined cuisine, the dishes were very well crafted and very fine. Breakfast was also great. But the highlight is your welcome; you are truly exceptional (Élodie), so caring and empathetic. We will definitely come back to see you and hope to see you if you pass through our area ☺️☺️☺️
