Great Service

Terrific location. Frank was BRILLIANT linking up with FORA travel in the USA to ensure that I could access the hotel and room close to midnight after delays in my journey. He was very helpful throughout my stay with lots of good advice re Caen. Good value for money.

Perfect even though lacking an elevator

The hotel was a pleasant discovery just steps from the port and the wonderful city center.
Upon our arrival, we were given a room of a higher level than the one booked, obviously at no additional cost. The young man at the reception was very kind and helpful, despite my rather halting French. Clean and spacious room, with motorized shutters useful for blocking the windows from the sun that sets very late and rises very early during this period.
I would definitely recommend it

The hotel is very centrally located, but the indication that there is parking is a bit misleading. There is street parking where ever you can find it, and not even a good loading location.

The owner of the property checked us in, served a nice continental breakfast to our room the next morning, brought a fan to our room for the unusually warm weather (no A/C but cooled down in the evening), helped carry our bags up to the room, and provided restaurant recommendations and even bus routes. This guy went above and beyond! The room was clean and well-maintained and the property is located in a very good spot near stores and restaurants. It took us 20 minutes to walk to the train station on flat sidewalks. Overall very pleased.

if you plan things in Caen, plan booking here too. It is a lovely place, top location, clean and cosy, loveliest and helpful staff ever. I would love to come back 😍
