Ascension weekend motorcycle trip with friends in Morvan

Warm welcome and a very friendly team. We reserved 10 rooms for our group of 22 people. The rooms are all renovated, and the bedding is of good quality. We had dinner and breakfast included in our package, and I can tell you that we enjoyed it; the portions were generous, the dishes were very good, and the same goes for the desserts. The bread and pastries come from the village baker, and I can guarantee you, when it comes to pastries, I know my stuff; I recommend trying the gougères and almond croissants, which are to die for... The outdoor terrace has a panoramic view of the valley, but I recommend going out of the village by taking the road that leads up to Lake Settons; you will find a bench on your left as you go up, and you will have an exceptional panoramic view... if the weather is nice. Excellent experience from my friends and me.

A diet if nothing

First of all, we didn't sleep in this hotel... but only ate in the evening.
As soon as we arrived in the village of Anost around 5 pm, we booked a table with the owner of the property. In the evening, the latter sat us at a table and then told us that there was only one menu proposed that we accepted... it must be clarified. On the menu, mussel cassolette: actually mussels with sailor in a ramekin??? Ham: actually 2 slices of white ham sprinkled with a sauce, accompanied by half a tomato in the oven and a little rice ??? fruit salad with slices of canned pineapple and apple pieces ??? Here's a very light meal for the evening... that we can easily prepare at home as part of a balanced diet... and that we ate with other unfortunate guests, including young people who were participating in a motorcycle cross rally in the area, and who slept in the hotel. It is hoped that these young people had planned some cakes to wedge their very little filled stomachs. In short, funny Burgundy menu (the establishment claims this name) but wait to know the price: 25 € per meal. I told the owner that in view of the meal I found the rating excessive... but a priori it did not bother her???

TO AVOID ABSOLUTELY MADE A FEW EXTRA KM CHEAPER AND BETTER

Deplorable experience .Very noisy room, louvers but that do not close A very dirty wooden nightstand a shower cabin whose door is broken (the Welcoming attendant advised us not to use it) Paints peeled off following infiltrations and the resulting mold .Dust accumulated behind the toilet door .Apart from infiltrations,paint is non-existent almost everywhere,round windows,doors and on walls

Stay at the fortin belle suprise gîte renovated in June in the heart of the village small shops nearby and restaurants quiet place where life is good perfect for hiking I recommend the pollution has not been there
