A perfect week at the Scandic The Mayor

The room was impeccable: spotlessly clean, quiet, and thoughtfully designed, creating the perfect retreat after long and busy days. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and provided truly restful nights, ensuring I woke up refreshed and ready for each new day in Aarhus.
One of the highlights of my stay was the outstanding breakfast buffet. Every morning offered a wonderful selection of Danish specialties, fresh breads, cheeses, fruits, and other local delicacies. A particularly charming touch was the waffle station, where guests could prepare their own freshly baked waffles exactly to their liking. It was the perfect way to start the day.
Combined with the warm atmosphere and excellent service, the hotel made my stay both comfortable and memorable. I couldn’t have asked for a better home away from home.

Nice renovated!

Was gone with my daughter. And wauw the new rooms are delicious and incredibly luxurious. I love the colors, the high comfortable bed and the huge shower cabin. It's something entirely different the little old rooms.
All we missed was being able to stream on TV.
But then we went to the bar and borrowed a game and got a delicious drink instead
And the breakfast is as always delicious. It’s a bit like coming home when you’re having breakfast at scandic hotels. I love that I always know that I can do the same delicious things.

Facility dramatically updated in 2025. Room/bathroom/bed very comfortable, breakfast buffet wonderful, hotel location near best restaurants and train station.
Hotel does not offer parking.

Replaced, central and delicious

Nice hotel after renovation. Rooms in the new wing are super lovely. Not least good beds. Good breakfast. Not least, the hotel is centrally located without noise and noise. Easy parking by the way

Good place to stay in

With pleasure I,ve spent 2 days in the Scandic the Mayor hotel in Aarhus. In do appreciate and fuily recomend this hotel for all of visitors. Very friendly hotel-team, very tasty breakfasts and nice hotel-bar. Jarosław Parzyszek, Białystok, Poland
