Unbeatable Location, Wonderful Stay
First time in Sydney and got a 2 bed studio room which is great for family trip as there is an open kitchen and a washer+dryer to deal with used clothing and all that.
Location wise it is at the Darling Harbour which feels relatively quiet compared to Circular Quay area, so the environment was quiet enough for sleep (and we don't hear anything upstairs or next to us), except for several of those showy drivers with loud pipes loaded on their vehicles zooming across the highway right in front of the hotel during early hours. View is always beautiful.
Perhaps a good idea to pre order pillows if reservations permit, as we didn't manage to find the "best" ones for ourselves. Quality of pillows and beddings were alright so don't be taken aback.
Staff members were amenable and attentive.
There are a lot of nice cafes and restaurants within 10 minutes walk so we always manage to find new restaurants to try and fortunately the food they served were all delicious. So maybe there is no need to reserve for breakfast during the stay and remain flexible on meals?
The CBD and China Town are also within walking distance and this makes travelling real convenient as we can always take public transport and walk back to hotel quickly for rest.
Overall the experience was wonderful and we will most probably stay again when we next visit Sydney, so we can try out their pools and other facilities.

Best place to get a full relaxing retreat
Amazing atmosphere, super calm and serene, the people there are also super lovely as well. Highly recommend coming here again!!

Really need to rethink the bathrooms
The room and the hotel are quite nice. Fairly standard for what you'd expect from a high-end hotel. They want to be 5-star, but I've marked them down because:
1. We were left standing in reception for several minutes while one person was checking people in. The Concierge and his friend just stood around chatting
2. The location is great if you want to see Darling Harbour, but if you want to go to any other part of the CBD, you have to walk quite a long way up the hill to George Street to catch the light rail. We walked up and down that hill quite a lot over the weekend.
3. Whoever designed the bathroom was obviously considering form over function. The circular bath was too small to actually immerse yourself in - maybe if you're under about 5'6" you could get under the water, but the only way for me (at 6') was able to fit in the bath was sitting bolt upright and cross-legged. Not very comfortable. There is no screen around the shower, so water goes absolutely everywhere! The bathroom was flooded and the bathrobe hanging beside the shower got wet. My husband slipped on the entryway floor coming out of the bathroom because his feet were wet. Also, the lighting is so bad I couldn't see properly to do my hair and makeup, so I hope I looked OK! Black walls and downlights really don't work, and the two strips either side of the mirror were blinding, but somehow didn't illuminate anything.
We'll stay at the Four Seasons again next time.

Living Room Lounge Bar – Rip off!
This review is regarding “Living Room”, the lounge/bar located on the same level as the reception desks, which I visited on Mon 20 July at 6pm.
Positive Feedback:
- Stunning décor throughout the lobby and Living Room. Very comfortable chairs and a decent view of darling harbour, considering you are only 1 level up from street level. The cosiness of Living Room was lovely, as was the mood lighting.
- The menu offered a good selection of cocktails, mocktails and other spirits to suit different tastes.
- Was greeted warmly by the bar staff upon arrival
Negative feedback:
Ordered 2 cocktails – Lycheeshu ($28) and Melon-hi ($28). Total of $56. Very sadly and disappointingly, both drinks contained ice blocks so large, that if you removed them, the actual drink would take up only a quarter of the glass. Whilst I appreciate appearance is important in cocktails such as these, it is an absolute rip off to charge $28 each for a cocktail that is mostly filled with ice. I have been to similar establishments with cocktails such as these, which allow for ice and a decent amount of drink in the glass. Also, the Melon-hi practically tasted like water. No taste whatsoever. The slim garnish of a lengthy cucumber slice added little to no flavour.
There was no table service. No menus were brought to the table, nor any staff inquiring what we would like to drink. Drinks had to be ordered from the bar and paid there. For an establishment such as this, I was very surprised. The small snack plate arrived at our table after we had almost finished our quarter-filled glasses of drink.
I would strongly NOT recommend Living Room if you want value for money in a cocktail and will not be visiting Living Room again.
