Excellent resort

The accommodation, food and service were all exceptionally good. Their wines are also very good and I highly recommend their wine matching with dinner. The property is exceptionaly well maintained.

Jackelope crossed off the bucket list.

The view from our room was excellent while everything else was good. Staff were friendly and helpful, the location is good, the breakfasts were good.
Ned was comfortable and the room a good size. Decor is minimalistic with black and neon accents.

Extremely disappointed

Stunning property and above average room. Disappointing experience. The room had a rattle in it related to the fridge and air con system that went off 30 times through the night. In addition we were told the spa would be at 36 degrees, it was not and was freezing. They warmed it up and finally at 9.30pm after it would typically be closed it was warm. This was after our dinner when we didn't really want to go. Now the dinner- doot doot- over priced, bland rubbery food. The menu did not clearly state there would be a 10% weekend surcharge, nor did the staff state it. The abalone was like rubber- we told the server and never heard anything back about it, I have ate abalone many times and this was plain and simple overcooked and cooked wrongly. This was a anniversary weekend and was really a waste of $1100 for one night. The meal was $440 and the food was so bland and small. We made the staff aware who just kept saying happy anniversary, but they didn't do anything about it. In addition the trip included wine tasting that was done like an express visit, one glass was offered for the whole wine taste and no washing out or new ones given. Would not recommend this place and would not be keen to come back- so bitterly disappointed. i know the comment will get met with a thanks for your feedback from management and we will give feedback to the relevant areas, but really that is not enough- for an experience that was supposed to be special and 5 stars it was barely a 2 but cost 6 stars.

Reading your feedback, it's clear that a number of things went wrong throughout your stay. We can completely understand why you left feeling disappointed, especially after choosing Jackalope for such a special occasion.
We're particularly sorry to hear that your comments about the abalone wasn't followed up during your dinner service. Regardless of whether we can resolve an issue in the moment, our team should always acknowledge concerns and make every effort to ensure guests feel heard. Likewise, we apologise if the weekend surcharge wasn't made clear and if the wine tasting felt rushed.
This isn't the experience we want any guest to have, and certainly not one celebrating an anniversary. We had a lovely 3 night stay in a terrace room. Jackalope is a fantastic hotel with awesome staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them from the turn down service to the transfers to nearby restaurants. The room was spacious, very clean and wonderfully quiet for a great sleep in the very comfortable bed. The complimentary and restocked minibar is a nice bonus. If you want a night in, there's movies with popcorn and icecream.
On site breakfast is exceptional and very filling. They will happily accommodate any diet requirements off the menu too.
When you stay, don't forget to dine at Rare Hare and have a wine tasting.
I highly recommend Jackalope and we'll be back!

WOW what a property!!
From the minute you drive in and greeted by staff) Nic Kirk) Gabby and Vanessa for Yummi Wine Tasting.
To the Comp Limo service, The Gorgeous rooms with amazing views over the vineyard, Fire pit with Marshmallows, unlimited popcorn and ice-cream delivered to your room and Doot Doot for breakfast and dinner ....Yum Yum Yum
SERVICE , FOOD and Venue are all a 10/10
