The quietest and "at-home" feel accomodation I've stayed in.

Ahhh, the serenity. Never have i stayed anywhere so quite. The rooms were comfortable. Cooking appliances and utensils galore in the communal cooking areas, and the lodge nature meant eating our meals at the tables on the patio where you can take in the beauty and serenity of the area. Recommended!

Good spot to camp

I stayed 1 night in my Campervan, arrived quite late in the afternoon and no one was at the reception. I first parked on the lower end near the river but then changed to stay at the top near the toilets and kitchen. The kitchen is small, with a 2 burner gas stove, microwave and kettle. Its an outside kitchen with a roof and 2 tables, but has got a few utensils like pots and pans. Bathroom was clean - that said, 1 shower has a hole with a cane toad living in it
I paid the next morning before going on a croc tour. I thought it was good value for $17 (unpowered), would stay again

Great location high above a river full of crocodiles!

Great location high above a river full of crocodiles! You can sit a look out over the river watching every ripple to see what it is! Crocodile boat trips run from here with knowledgeable guides.
We saw 4 crocodiles, a goshawk and had a great chat!

Perfect place in paradise

It’s always hard to choose a place to stay in an unfamiliar area, but this gem ticked ALL the boxes for me. Clean, tidy, a/c, great ensuite, magnificent (shared) kitchen, and right smack bang in the middle of the Daintree village. Boat cruises spotting crocs and other wildlife several times a day, an amazing collection of all those things owned by your grandmother (and HER mother!!) . Owned and managed by Michael and Alina, these terrific hosts really engage with customers to ensure their expectations are exceeded! Next time, I would bring a small group of friends, but for this trip, unwinding in the beautiful morning sounds of nature here on the deck with an expansive view of the river is absolute heaven. A magnificent place to stay, affordable and friendly. I WILL be back!

Not just for the view

The property is "old style" but very clean and well maintained. We were very well received by Michael.
The room was comfortable and the bathroom functional.
The wooden terrace with river views is really nice. And the restaurant in front of the hotel is very convenient...
