Sweet spot in quiet Kappl
Hotel Post is great spot in the center of Kappl. Simple, comfortable rooms, nice restaurant and breakfast, and fine sauna. Parking is a bit dicey, but the staff is very helpful finding you a spot. Super convenient 5min walk through town to ski down to the Kappl Gondola. Stayed here as an alternative to Ischgl, which is a 10min drive away or easily accessible by local ski bus.

Poor service and sour owner of the hotel
Had booked a room on their own website. A room with half board, but when we got down there, we were told it was only with breakfast. Although it says on the confirmation email from the hotel itself.
Even the owner could see that there was half a pension on the email they sent us.
Really sour owner and really bad service.

Lovely hotel in a great location
Lovely, friendly family run hotel, with top class service. We stayed for two weeks and our room was spacious, comfortable and the daily housekeeping was done to a high standard. The food was lovely and there was plenty of it. Half board evening meals were 5 courses! Breakfast was buffet style with lots of choice including eggs and bacon cooked to order. Kappl is a great place to stay if you want to explore the Paznaun valley. There is a regular bus service which takes you in both directions along the valley. Great hotel in a great location. Recommended.

Treated very poorly by the clerk and receptionist
We have been coming to Kappl for years and always eat at Hotel Post.
So today we went again with two families. Made a reservation in the afternoon and was treated very nicely. We enter and from second to second at the table there was a rush (we can understand when it is busy) but to our surprise it was reported that we had to leave before 8 o'clock (this was not reported when booking!) It was repeated that we had to order quickly and my wife chose a menu because she felt so rushed. We said to each other 'don't worry, the gentleman may not be having his day'. but it could be even crazier. We had ordered 2 menus with a starter, main course and dessert, when it was time for dessert we had to order again quickly, even before ordering, those who had already ordered the daily menu received dessert. We were fed up and indicated that we would like to eat together, but we were turned away. The other deserts arrived when the first desserts served were almost finished, even then one was not included! I politely went to reception and indicated that I had never experienced anything like this before, the man indicated that he understood me, I thought there would be an apology or compensation, but 0 only a sweet lady serving came to ask what exactly had gone wrong. .
Then I paid at reception and indicated that I have never experienced this with the same person, he told me, you ate everything so you were satisfied. (so he didn't listen to my story at all, the food was indeed fine!) but that wasn't the point at all.
I indicated that I thought it was bizarre how we were treated and that I wanted to write a review about it, his response was that I should definitely do that and you can also eat at another restaurant! We have been coming to the mail for years, but this was certainly the last time. What I always see in Austria is that people do it with their heart! This is purely for money never and never again hotel post I advise everyone to ever eat here! We always try to post a review for a positive experience! If we don't like it a little less, we don't write anything down because we don't like negativity. We prefer to say it outright if we don't like something. In this case, after reporting it to both the employee in question and to reception and receiving this response, we still post this review. a big 1 for hotel post!

Needs improvement
Venison strips were very good except for the napkin dumplings.
It was more like goulash than strips.
Cordon Bleu tasted so much like pork that it was
cheap discount meat from factory farming.
