Exclusive neighbor to the castle

Had two good nights at Sommerro although check-in was quite slow but was upgraded to a nice and spacious deluxe room. Breakfast is very good with great and tasteful selection of everything. The hotel is perfectly located next door to the castle and National Theatre station with direct trains to the airport.

Stepping Into a Different Time in Oslo

When we go on vacation, we're looking for an escape from our everyday lives, and this hotel delivered exactly that. Its stunning design transported me to a different time, something few hotels manage to pull off. Careful art deco details show up everywhere you look. If Wes Anderson were a hotelier, this is the hotel he'd design. Breakfast was fantastic, too. The royal eggs Benedict and the waffles were highlights of the stay. I'd absolutely stay here again next time I'm in Oslo.

We´ve restored this wonderful Art Deco building with much love & care . It´s also a testament to early craftsmanship and we inherited a true gem . Our main concern was to preserve the elegance and beauty whilst creating a functional hotel . This took five years and to see the hotel described as "stunning " is a true pleasure .

Wow doesn't begin to capture just how incredible the Sommerro is--a stunning property with top-notch staff and amazing dining. We were blown away by the breakfasts, which consisted of a staggering array of exceptionally delicious options. Loved our stay and highly recommend it. We'll be visiting again. Thanks!

Very nice hotel. Great design and great location. But the service from the staff was very bad. And out of 7 restaurants only one was available, where again the service and staff was below what is expected on a hotel like this.
