Cosy "Benjamin House"

"Benjamin house" is a great place to stay in Riga. "The House" has a history and is continuously rebuilt. Nice staff, nice bar, nice courtyard, nice rooms and great location ☺️

Bazaar breakfast!

Bazaar breakfast … on first glance looked ok … but ended up being like left overs from the previous nights dinner party! Caesar salad ! Rhubarb crumble ! Very very odd … avoid

Well situated on the edge of the old town. All self checkin which actually worked well, I arrived early & sent a querie about the luggage room & received a swift reply with the door code.
Superb gigantic & beautiful room, it’s oldie worldly not a sleek & modern business hotel; personal taste, I liked it.
Cocktail bar on the first floor, again beautiful setting however the kitchen is only available Fri & Sat.
I didn’t have breakfast in the hotel, lots of cafe’s & the amazing food market close by.
Only negative for me was shower needed a new shower head.

Quirky hotel with an interesting history. The breakfast was good but some days not available due to the chef being absent from work. I think the hotel needs to employ more people!

Well placed and good value for money hotel

We stayed here for three nights and found our rooms comfortable, clean and quiet. It's a slow ten minute walk to the city centre, train station and bus station so it covers all the bases.
However, we found the lack of staff in reception disconcerting. We used a key code to get through the front door and to get our room keys. We are all fairly independent and self reliant travellers so we were OK but guests wanting a concierge on hand for help and advice or room service will be disappointed.
Still, you get what you pay for and this place was good value for money.
